Not bad, but maybe a little too severe at the top. Mercia at least should give closer to 800.
Will the season point split between alliances be added for season 5 or has that been scrapped?

If it's not, I'm all for a tax to alliances based on size. If caps to how many can be apart of alliances are never coming, something has to give. I'd suggest an escalating tax based on the number of members in an alliance. 300 member alliance, each guild pays 5% additional taxes. 600 member alliance - 10% additional taxes. 900 member alliance - 15% addition taxes. 1200 member alliance - 25% additional taxes, 1500 member alliance - 35%, 1800 member alliance - 50%, 2100+ member alliance - 65%. These numbers are arbitrary and can be swapped out, but something to make larger scale alliances unwanted, but still possible, could be nice for season 5. That and it'd be a silver sink.
Only problem with that is people would still join alliance for pvp where taxes mean nothing.
    • It's funny that throughout this post you see people complaining of mega alliances, zerging or referring to them as negative... After reading this and other posts I still don't understand why we even have alliances in this game... specially when you've got a cap of people in a zone.

I keep imagining an Albion where alliances don't exist and in a way it seems to be a more interesting world. A world where there's no purple but simply green and red.

What I find intriguing is that people that use certain mechanics which clearly gives them an upper-hand then complain that the world is dead, or people don't contest. This critic being directed at people that use numbers mainly... Imagine for example someone putting the whole server under the same banner and then complaining that there's no PvP. (an extreme example... but do you get the point?)

We all play in a "sandbox" (a wanna-be since sandboxes are virtually impossible for now) where the DEVS design the mechanics... and at this moment is simply too beneficial playing with numbers... since there's alliances and non-capped ones.

      On the topic now:
      • GvG seasons should have their name changed simply to seasons, as the scoring is not coming only from GvG;
      • Castle changes: I don't know to be honest... Castles are usually fun content... I guess this will deter other people to invest the time and silver to de-throne BA on this.
To Blue Army I have to give them props... They are definitely committed to win the season ;)

      Cheers
    • Castles changing is the worst decision from developers. Castles are the only 1 way to win in a season for guild without strong gvg teams. This is what the blue army showed us. But now the influence of the GVG system which has outlived itself and is a brake on the development of this game has increased 2 times. Now the work of 150 people will be equivalent to 2 victories of GvG in Mercia. All gvg converge to the domination of one team in worldwide . Such a team will have 5 characters each and will be invincible. Instead of changing what works correctly, think about changing the gvg system, only this will help albion.
    • Season 4 proved that the Castle system was broken. That a guild was able to get crystal so quickly by only doing Castles demonstrated a flaw in the game design. The stranglehold GvG teams had on resources (T8 and siphoned energy) have been addressed.

What the game needs is Shared Season Points for alliances. This will undermine the mega-alliance strategies and potentially upon up territory GvG to newer players.

We got those points from both going extremely hard on Siphoned Mages and Castles.

Is it our fault that POE gave up after only 2 weeks of trying to capture castles from us? No. Is it our fault no other alliance or guild in the game went for any of our castles? No.

If POE or any other guild/alliance wanted to WIN, then we wouldn't of been able to hold and secure all castles, across the whole world twice a day for weeks on weeks. For an alliance force of 3,000 members (POE) the fact they couldn't muster-up enough people and spread them correctly to take our castles is on them and their very poor leadership.

    • Removing Alliances, increasing guild size to 400 players and making more zones hold dual terris, thereby increasing gvg's without expanding or shrinking the map would probably solve a lot of issues. I just wonder how messed up the game engine is and if they could even implement this?

To be honest, at this point they should relaunch in some manner. SBI doesn't seem to have a handle on managing its community or communicating with the outside world... We need communication, there just doesn't seem to be a clear way to have conversations with devs for the average player unless they search it out, that's not healthy. They need to highlight the communication paths more!
    • Squak isn't even that good ZVZ skill wise. The main problem is they zerg and assemble more numbers, faster, and more often than other guilds and alliances.

So many players in this game cry about "waaaaah zerg is OP" but they conveniently ignore the fact that's how&why BA won the season on castles, constantly outnumbering everybody.

It's a Blue Army nerf because SQUAK alliance recruited 99% of the zvz-zerglings (slaves) in the game and wonder why they don't get fights.

      Figure it out.
When you have to fight super alliances you need numbers or you cant contest. When you pull 300 and zerg, yeah we will zerg lol. We played as just a guild for a long time, fighting super alliance zergs. Now that we have numbers, well you loose since we are the best. You need an alliance to be able to fight another alliance. If alliances went so big, Ours would be smaller. Slave is a term from a year ago made for people who didnt want to fight but were forced to in this game. We want to fight, so thats never worked for us. Everyone who doesnt gvg is a "zergling" You have more of those since your alliance is much bigger. Nice try though. Our zerg is a quality core with some filler. Most other alliances dont put the resources or focus into open world. That takes time and organization, leaders of men and content creators. There is hardly any content creators in this game, Squad has most of them. So obviously they cant get better if they dont try and improve.

Realistically it's an eye for an eye. Some would hope that with the nerf on the terri's (resources) that PoE would have went out into the open world more. However, that didn't really work so I see the castle nerfs as the flip side. Some would hope that with them not being as valuable that Squad will put more effort into GvGing. (Royals don't count) If alliances don't get nerfed, someone has to step out of their comfort zone in order to try to take pieces out of the other alliances comfort zone. If PoE some how starts beating Squad more in ZvZs or Squad starts beating PoE more in GvGs then maybe each guild/alliance will start playing everything.

I'll be honest, it's getting kind of boring having to 1v1 Squad in ZvZs (as a SAVE member) and the flip side, seeing 1v1s with PoE GvGs. It'd be nice to see pieces of each alliance fighting in a zone with the intentions of killing anyone and not trying to gang up on one side because you don't like that alliance. And in GvGs, it would be nice to see each guild/alliance attacking whichever alliance was in the area of the map they wanted, reguardless of what alliance/guild they are.

But again, this is only going to happen if alliance are shrunken/removed or if Squad/PoE makes a serious effort into interfering into the others comfort zone. And if neither side is willing to go into the other lane, then there's no excuses for complaining about nerfs to what you enjoy doing.
    • From the beginning of seasons, castles were designed to be worth 1 Castle = 3 territories in energy/point yield. Currently in Season 4, after territories got shafted, castles have been generating 5-6 territories in energy/point yield.

No clue why it wasn't fixed immediately when territories got shafted/"buffed", but with these changes they will simply go back to the old 1:3 ratio.
    • Probably because your only argument was - "oh no, BA will win the season". But you've got what you have asked for.

Also I have no clue why still haven't updated event calendar once:

      1. Castles have been moved from 24/7 fights to 2 time slots, and 1/time zone
      2. Warcamps have been put into 2 time slots
      3. We've got Crystal GvG implemented and scheduled above that

And this all is different than it was on release day, nobody cares.

But fact is, not many EU people can participate in castles. We can see clearly differences in participation as we look at killboard (compare NA to EU) or check posts on reddit. So in fact, nerfing castles is one thing, but we need some love and rethink the whole calendar once again.

I believe before season 5 we could revamp it and consider changes:

      • warcamp times (Maybe 4 times a day instead of 2?)
      • Crystal gvg times
      • Castles time (maybe 4 times a day?)
      • Worldbosses (maybe once per EU/NA since the loot is shit anyway)
This way we can put little bit more life into the game with small adjustments.
