Thoughts on GvG prime times being set to 1 NA and 1 EU time slot that best fits the peak of players logged on?

  • Thoughts on GvG prime times being set to 1 NA and 1 EU time slot that best fits the peak of players logged on?

Reddit post here if want to partake in discussion in another form: reddit.com/r/albiononline/comm…es_being_set_to_1_na_and/

Please post benefits and cons of idea, will try to defend idea with best of my knowledge on the subject. This is to see if we can widen the idea of a solution of what GvGs have become in the last few months.

Here are scenarios to help get an idea of how the current gvg setup is compared to the proposed idea considering namely all groups that they may effect:

    Scenarios of Post

-While you think of these as teams, please imagine that a single team can defend 2-3 territories at a time with counter attacks and lock system. This will gives idea oh how much territory each guild may own.

You can also swap the time zones between an NA or EU prime time to get an idea of how it effects things between time zones that Hardcore players may be able to do both NA and EU.

Think of the order of guilds 1-3 of how experienced and how they are more committed to the game( Super hardcore players):

-Guild 1 has team A and team A (alts)
-Guild 2 has team B and team C.
    -Guild 3 has team D

    Build 1 As of now:
    • Scene1: Territories are located in Cumbria and Mercia
[Guild 2 team B] fights gvg multiple zones away in cumbria against
[Guild 1 Team A] at 22utc. Later [Guild 1 team A (alts)] fights against
[Guild 2 team C] at 0 utc in mercia.
    • Scene2: Territories are located in West Anglia and (Mercia or Cumbria)
[Guild 1 team A (alts)] do gvg in anglia at 23utc against [Guild 3 team D]. Later [Guild 1 team A] does gvg at 2 utc in (Mercia or Cumbria) against [Guild 2 team B]
Build 2 with the 2 time zones for GvGs:
    • Scene1: Territories are located in Cumbria and Mercia
[Guild 2 team B] fights gvg multiple zones away in Cumbria against
[Guild 1 Team A] at 2utc. *[Guild 1 team A (alts)] fights no one at 2utc since they are in a fight.* [Guild 2 team C] fights [case 1: nobody, case 2 pug team, case 3: mercs who don't have a gvg and are in good terms with current guild] at 2 utc in mercia.
    • Scene2: Territories are located in West Anglia and (Mercia or Cumbria)
[Guild 1 team A (alts)] don't gvg in anglia at 2utc against [Guild 3 team D] because [Guild 1 team A] does gvg at 2 utc in (Mercia or Cumbria) against [Guild 2 team B].
Please comment on these scenarios and anything that stands out, from them. There is of course many other scenarios that may happen but these 2 are currently the most seen in GvGs as of now.

My belief is that a team that can get 2 teams of all individual players with a total of 10 is more impressive than 2 teams with 5 players total on alts that are more hardcore or fed to a point they can gvg twice a day, some even 3-5 times a day.

I believe this change will open new doors to newer GvG teams in guilds as well as open the world for newer guilds to focus on west continent without fear of guilds in middle or east continents using them as tools to feed while they have gvgs later at their home territories which they can still do.
