hello, I am a gathering of stone, I pick it up and refine it always, for me it would be more convenient to have a stone refining plot on my island to refine with and without focus, on the new patch it is worth continuing to refine in caerleon as I come doing it until now ?
with the merlyn patch that comes out more profitable?

That is a good question.
I know that the royal Cities will have a massive boost for refining but they did not make it public what city is good for what. So we all need to wait for the patch notes. -

i have my island in caerleon
Here's how it will look for cities that have the current regular bonus, plus the new additional crafting and refining boosts:
City (Regular) 18 15%
City + Refining Bonus 43 30%
Islands attached to Royal cities will, as always, not include the regular city bonus, but they will now receive the same new crafting and refining boosts as the attached city:
Island (Regular) 0 0%
Island + Refining Bonus 25 20%
Seeing this is worth the island that has no fees or refining with tax at 22% of Caerleon? -

Moving a personal island is inexpensive after Merlyn. The new island will be at the same level as the one you abandon but the price will be initial purchase price so all your upgrades will transfer.
Buildings won't transfer so you would have to demolish anything and get 90% resources back then haul everything to the new city. -

Lets say you refine 100 blocks.
Without focus you would get about 18 extra blocks, is 18 blocks worth more than the fee in the city? If yes do it in the city.
With focus you get about 27 more in the city, if 27 blocks is worth more than the fees do it in the city.
To test just bring enough rocks to make 100, make blocks until the rocks are gone and keep track of the fee each time.
I think most things are well worth the extra cost of refining in the city until the city fee gets much higher than 20%.
However, I do recommend building the refining station on your island as a backup so it's ready to go if the city owner decided to go private or raises the fee too high. -
