    • make swords great again

      swords totally outperforming by axes now. axes dont need stacks do awesome damage + got utility ( heal reduction). for make swords viable again need some changes. something like this :
      1) Q stacks must last longer for 2-3 seconds.
      2)W skill Splitting slash need much faster animation. it pretty clunky at this moment. another W Iron Will need longer duration (+2-3 seconds). it s too short now
      3) Dual swords need more aoe radius. 6 meters will pretty good.
      4)Broadsword need 10-15% more damage on E and 2 sec longer duration for armor bufff after using.
      5)Carving sword need 25 % damage buff on E because it super weak now
      p.s swords also got worst passives in game. pls buff Weakness for 8 % heal/attack reduction for 2 sec,because 4 % for 1 sec it total crap

    • I have been a swords player since launch, and ive come to the conclusion that they will never really work for competetive pvp, because of the inherent difference created by the stack mechanic.

      The buildup requirement, and the ease of removing stacks or zoning out a swords player to lose stacks means that you cant depend on or time team combos with swords.

      As gvg's are about synergies, then a weapon you cannot depend on is useless for any kind of synergy.

      Maybe if you made a fundamental change to swords so the stacks for example did self buffs, but the damage output and effect was still dependable - then it could be used.

      Maybe if the effect spread from 1 to 3 stacks was lowered dramatically i dont know. The dual swords has a 5m range now on the nda balance notes, but it doesnt change anything. Spears are simply better and have been for a very long time, probably even since launch day. Axes are also vastly superior both halberd, bear paws and carrioncaller is superior to any swordline.

      If you lowered the damage on the E and instead made stacks give you defensive buffs it would change the playstyle fundamentally and maybe create a new and worthwile playstyle.

      But you probably need fundamental changes to swords to see them in gvg's again. It is simply the worst bruiser weapon in the game.

      Swords:
      • Removed Passive: Life Leach
      • Added new Passive: Heroic Fighting
        • Get a Heroic Charge every 4 normal attacks
      • Weakening (Passive)
        • Effect Duration: 1s -> 2s
      • Interrupt (all Swords)
        • Hit Delay: 0.2s -> 0s)
      • Iron Will (all Swords)
        • Now also applies a Heroic Charge on activation
      • Charge (Claymore)
        • Cast Time: 0.5s -> 0.4s
        • Range: 12m -> 15m

      Well .. About this new Passive: Heroic Fighting ... nowdays in PvP situation (GvG/ZvZ) is hard to maintain an high autoattack uptime during a fight , expecially with a melee weapon which base his main utility by getting stack to deal the "real" damage. It could be "decent" if the buff persist for many seconds AND if your goal is making SWORD an autoattacker weapon BUT (talking about gvg/zvz situation) meta changes and SWORD has remain the same.
      Interrupt and Iron Will ... same case ... it sems like you want to make this weapon based on autohit , which is not good in my opinion, because you will lack in tankiness , utility or damage.

      This is what you should talk about, in higher level of gameplay sword is not viable in every PvP,PvE scenario.
    • Was typing it in other thread,about my suggestions.Here is my thoughts about dual swords.

      DualSwords-

      1. Reduce damage of E spell on 10% BUT let it hit twice - first portion of damage will be on character place,second portion of damage will be on landed area. So literally you will have two options - deal nice damage around you,or deal less damage but on range.
      2. Make E ability to ignore CC while you are in air.(such as knockbacks ,stuns,roots or fear)So enemy cant cancel it. It is very annoying.
