With the upcoming Lancelot Midseason Patch, players will now have the option to hold GvG training battles.
What are GvG training battles?
Players can now create their own custom GvG practice matches via chat commands, either by typing the names of all players or using pre-selected parties. This will allow newer guilds to build team skills, and give more seasoned guilds the opportunity to test out new strategies and builds. Currently, four different match types are available, each with preset rules: Arena, Farmland, Home Territory, and Resource Territory.
To receive an invitation to a custom match, players must first allow them (in Settings → Social).
The limitations on queuing and entering the GvG Training match will be the same as for Arena. E.g. you will not be able to queue from Red/Black open world areas.
How does the system work?
There are two ways to start a custom match via chat command:
Method 1
Open chat window and type the following:
/cm <playername 1> <playername 2> ... <playername 10> <matchtype>
Notes:
- Players 1 to 5 will be in Team 1, players 6 to 10 will be in Team 2.
- The player typing MUST include their own player name among the ten names.
Open chat window and type the following:
/cm <playername from enemy group> <matchtype>
Don't include the brackets.
Notes:
- This method offers more convenience if players have already built their own parties.
- The party of the player typing the command will be Team 1.
- The party that includes the typed player name will be Team 2.
- The player name used cannot be in the same party as the person typing the command.
- This method will only work if both parties are assembled before the chat prompt is typed.

Please note:
This is an early trial version of this system. Our intent is to release it as early as possible to test the system and give guilds the option of training in various settings. As always, we are eager to get your feedback and ideas on how to improve this system.
