YoloMouse 3rd party mouse cursor allowed?

What I'm looking for is a dev response on if we can use this software pandateemo.github.io/YoloMouse/

I'm in no way trying to get this player in trouble and not looking for any action taken against him. If this is a TOS violation please warn him instead.

I know general rule of thumb is devs won't comment on the use of 3rd party software since its something out of their direct control and could therefore change over time from a perfectly nonissue into an exploitative issue so safe bet is to just not use it at all. That said this program does not alter any game files and simply provides a meaningful QOL benefit.

I just don't want to get in any hot water if I start to use it can we get an official green light please.

How about we just put in better mouse cursors that are actually visible on the screen during lots of activity, anyway?

Or, better, a customizable mouse cursor in this game's [censored] UI.

This program should absolutely be allowed until then. It's not the player's fault that the UI [leaves something to be desired] and that there are like two options for changing it.

Increase mouse pointer ?

I am using yolo mouse on my 2k monitor. No way I can see the mouse otherwise during a ZvZ.

Not allowed ? OK, ban 4 of my accounts as I can't play without it anyway.

Even at 1920x1080 I find the cursor hard to find quite often. It blends in to 75% of the backgrounds.

We need an answer or better cursors...

Part of the problem is contagious fire and similar effects utilizing similar colors to the mouse. Bringing the mouse cursor in game would enable the devs to keep it in its own color scheme, making it visible. This would be easy to do and be helpful to most if not all players.

I think this post is just opening a can of worms, unnecessarily. Rather than give any official, and therefore binding response, I’d have thought devs would rather you just got on with it and kept quiet. if I found the mouse cursor a problem (I don’t, yet), I’d not hesitate to change it, and wouldn’t think twice on whether it’s legal or not, as my own sensibility would tell me that it’s not a big deal in this case.

Happily, contagious fire is almost never used

Maybe it's the way my eyes see colors (not colorblind, but loved colorblind mode in league), but there's times I can't find it at all lol. Maybe it's just me.

we do not see a problem with this kind of software. It only changes the mouse cursor on a driver level and does not interfere with the game client in any way. I don't see an unfair advantage either.

Although I didn’t feel there was a problem with the default cursors, I was curious to see what difference YoloMiuse would make. I’ve been using it for 3 days now and must admit that it really does make it easier to distinguish the 4 different cursor states. I wouldn’t go back to the defaults now.

Different states ?

I only have it like the large blue thingy when I don't point on anything. When I point something it becomes small Albion type mouse and I lose it because it is small again. Is there a way to make it remain large one ?

Read the manual at the download page. You set your new cursor for every shape of Albion cursor separately.

Thanks for letting us now.
However, Wouldn't it be a lot better if you just implemented this into the game? Give us the option to choose a more visible cursor from the settings.
I can't imagine it would take much work on your part to implement this. A lot of players would love this because the current cursor is pretty easy to lose track of in ZvZ.
