      Hey all not going to make this a long winded discussion on how I would fix Axe or change all the abilities. But just highlight why I think it needs an over haul as some of the weapons are just not viable.

      Quick introduction I am AMurderer probably the highest levelled Axe user on the live server and Axe user since Alpha, I have 65ish Specialisation in my Artefact and 50+ in all other Axe Specialisations.

      So Axes what are they good for? Axes used to be the go to weapon for real high damage burst and sustain but as of late they have kind of lost their way.
      Weapons such as the Spear line have more DPS via auto attacks due to Buffs available also better AOE options and are Equal on Spike damage.
      Swords are on par with Auto Attack damage and they have better mobility better CC and better AOE.



      1 Handed Axe: Good for solo play as it has high sustain with its decent heal. But seeing as this is a game based on groups it offers nothing in team fights or dungeons other then an Armour Break.
      Great Axe: A lot of people don't like this weapon I kind of have a soft spot for it so we replace a heal with AOE Dot. The damage on the DOT isn't the best that's for sure but it can still pack a punch if you don't get CC or they hit Reflect.
      Halberd: This is a weapon that has lost its way nothing about it is special its a poor mans Carrion caller.
      Carrion Caller: The only weapon that makes it into a GVG team and it barely does that now days as the AOE Healing reduction is inferior to Curse and offers less sustain thanks to Grudge.
      Scyth: The reason we mostly picked Axe in the first place its raw damage makes you feel like a man again after wading thru the other axes to finally own one. But its E is mitigated by Roles, Jumps, Shields, Blocks which often leaves you frustrated waving bye bye to your energy.


      I know the difficulty you guys must face trying to balance every weapon and trying to make each weapon feel unique and I take my hat off to the work you have done. If you could find it in your hearts to help AXE find its way again that would be great I do have a number of ideas on how to make Axe feel vibrant and new without making them slip in to the Overpowered section feel free to come pick my brain if any Dev pays attention to these threads.

      yeah but you cant just take things out of context and say its just bloodlust...

      Self heal/sustain is always good for solo/small scale PVP not just in Albion (any game, any MMO). In EVE anything that can repair itself in combat (better yet - with a repair ship bonus) is really good for solo/small scale pvp.

      Lifesteal ability in DOTA(any moba) is one of the top abilities if you wanna take out heroes 1v1...

      Plus I haven't seen any good Curse PVP videos since like Beststike doing some in beta... although with the new Grudge spell (experience that myself, on the receiving end) I dont see why anyone is playing anything but curse...that thing is pretty OP, altho I suppose reflect can kill it, but if everyone is running Bloodlust - no need to fear reflect builds...

      This is more the case of higher gear + T6 poison pots and Bloodlust just looking from the loot he gets most of the people he fights have crappy set ups that being said I can win a 1v1 vs anyone at the bank with a Great Axe and Bloodlust feel free to come challenge me but that's as far as it goes.

      I agree with most of it, but what about Halberd? Total disaster and still nothing done with it, seems like need to make more QQ posts about it, so Devs pay more attention..
    • As an Axe user since i've started, i saw this set of weapons under-used and for sure under-powered...

      This is really frustrating that's Axes are not what it should be -- not an OP one, but what axe should be...

      Bleed for exemple is the worst thing ever... compare to fire DoT damage is a baby toy.

      Another thing (there is a lot of underpowered thing), range of the battle axe.... seriously, dagger, for exemple appears to have a longer range (and i do not talk about the OP spear...lol) - sword, spear, etc etc... ok ti

      This make my game more and more interesting -- and here there is no complain or cry, this is fact !

      By the way, i do not want to switch to another META weapon (such as spears or ... lol, clarent OP sword).

      Ok it is hard to balance a game with such weapon choice, but, maybe, doing bleed a little more powered could change the way axemen are treated !

      This game need a real re-balancing study, and not in one year...
