healers what say you

  • I think the nerfs were necessary. It definitely made us try new things and dear lord the options are amazing! generous heal is actually USEFUL! On a T4 staff, generous heal is healing for over 350 on a 2 sec cd and 1 sec cast time. Easy on the mana too. I really love the way holy ended up after the patch. I can't speak for nature, but it doesn't seem to have taken too hard of a beating. What do you think?
  • i dont like the patch on healers because it made the job as a healer more stressfull

    healing in AO is not realy good
    the holy plays like a piece of shit no fun at all, it plays more if you have ticks in brain
    the natur plays very smooth and made fun to play, so i chose him to have fun

    the healing was good and i had a lot of fun to heal because i heal since 10 years and i like the difficult
    i liked the system that the healer is the powerfull person in group
    and this is what i all the time hate in other games

    the healer is the easy snack,
    the healer is the unimportend person at all
    you need your group to precect yourself
    no healer ? use this one in that corner
    it dosent matter that he can heal good, but he can heal .....


    in AO i was that one how have the power
    powerfull healer made a powerfull group
    you need a good healer in AO

    the healing was so good that i can protect myself alone
    i can see whats done in the front area and use the right heal at the right time
    now i evade every one, sure the system is up worked that you evade damage
    but now its plays like we dont wonna fight whith you but we need you to heal

    pre patch anyone told me i heal very good
    its great to hear that
    but now everyone say shit healer, what do you do wrong, did you use the wrong staff ?
    they also think i wear the wrong euip ...
    .... ....
    its frustrating me

    what the hell is wrong that healer ar the powerfull person ?
    sure we had win the 1vs1
    but did everyone need this to kill the healer in 1vs1 ? go to youporn ....
    what the hell i am the healer you dont need to attack me



    plz devs rework this shit and made the healing job fun in play
    find other solutions

    the natur must more be the healer that can heal spread damage
    and the holy must be that healer that can heal burst damage

    so in 5vs5

    if the enemy group had a natur healer you need burst damage to break the heal to this group

    if the enemy group had the holy healer you must made damage at all member to break the heal

    if this work great you have more to do than a work up a group for gvg fights
    you must know what healer is in that group and rework the group bevor and in fight
    its more taktikal i think

  • In PvE my Nature healer can still do a good job of keeping people alive. However in PvP the HoTs are simply to weak to keep up with the burst damage of players so, although not useless, I would say I am only marginally useful by extending the fights a little bit.

    Will probably switch to Holy healing as they seem to have the potential to keep atleast one person alive during PvP encounters. Tried Arcane but it is still not doing the job of support in 5v5 so I guess Holy is the only viable support class in PvP atm.
  • The generous heal is nice, but I still struggle with holy when several players are taking burst damage. That holy explosion isn't always off cooldown, and it isn't always going to get to everyone.

    So I've found nature to still be my go to. It just feels way more intuitive to play, and gives you a ton more mobility with the instant casts.

    I agree. If SBI feels like they need to do sweeping changes, such as -10% in all healing, then they should provide us an option for LP refund so we can try another class. My nature healer is barely able to keep people alive in T6 expeditions and forget about T7 and above dungeons not to mention Arena. Demotivates you to keep playing the same class when you can't do your job of healing.

    Alternatively they could give us healers CC, more buffs and other type of support so we have other options beside (weak) healing.

    If all you're doing is PvE, just use 1h holy staff with mistcaller, spam generous heal and use the W beam for extra healing if necessary. It should be more than enough unless all of your group gets hit. In which case, it's hardly your fault if none of them can read a telegraphed attack.

    Literally only do pvp myself.
  • Druid took a huge hit in my opinion but not for the reason some here suggest, druid was strong because people enjoy playing very heavy melee compositions that are easy to kite- kiting was easier because sticky potions were incredibly powerful to melee compositions & now because it got such a nerf ontop of global healing taking a hit it opened the flood gates for very bursty compositions & severely hurting a druids viability because the sustain is incredibly low now, especially considering that a druid(druidic specifically) is very easily countered by Mace or Great Curse even though Great Curse wasn't meta, Mace was & still is- a good Mace player is a pain for any Druid & that's assuming the enemy team just doesn't want to run a purge helmet seeing as all a druid has now is Seed, which isn't the hardest thing to pick up on & purge.
    Druidic is still k, but I don't believe it's as top dog as it used to be.

    I think we'll start seeing more bursty healers coming up & I can't believe I'm saying this but 1h nature might even be worth testing out with a Mistcaller.

    I'm already fucking with Holy/Mistcaller, honestly I think it's actually strong as shit but we'll see.

  • I love how still...no one has addressed the elephant in the room here or no one has even noticed.

    Pre-patch. Mushrooms on nature, refreshed the third stack when a friendly was healed. Now it simply does nothing and the friendly loses triple stack heal and need to stack all over again.

    Fuck all the other changes, this ninja nerf alone has fucked up nature. I wonder now whether it was a bug pre-patch and whether nature was nerfed due to a bug that should have been fixed.
