When you enchant gear, runes take a normal item to x.1, souls go from x.1 to x.2, relics go from x.2 to x.3.

So for example, you have a normal T4 Broadsword. You want to enchant it to T4.1, you need 50 T4 runes.

Then later you want to increase it to T4.2, now you need 50 T4 souls.

Yes also you can transmute them into artifacts. But it's random what you get from about 8 possible artifacts.

So say you want a Warrior T4 normal artifact, you transmute 50 T4 runes, there is a random chance of which 8 artifacts you get.

50 souls transmute into a random ( soul level ) artifact.

30 ( ? ) relics transmute in a random ( relic level ) artifact.

You choose the type, warrior, Mage, or Hunter's Lodge.
