    We are happy to report that today went extremely well. We significantly surpassed yesterdays peak numbers, without having to resort a queue, and with the servers handling it really well. The only minor issues was overcrowding in Fort Sterling, which lead to some lags, but is much better now already.

    Today, after the daily maintenance downtime, we are going to try out increase maximum player numbers. Provided that this goes smoothly, we do not expect any queues today. We'll keep you posted.

    The queue is now down to 1.700 players, we expect it to hit 0 over the next hours.

    The situation seems to have stabilized, servers are running well. Unfortunately, there is still a server queue. It goes without saying that our key goal for the coming days is to reduce the server queue as much as we can, or even eliminate it entirely. We are cautiously optimistic, but cannot make any promises about this yet.

    Unfortunately, the reason for the server issues we are facing at the moment is that we are subject to a DDOS attack. This is something that we did plan for, however, it will always have some impact on the servers, in particular if they are at peak traffic. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    As you noticed we are experiencing some disconnects once in a while. I can say already that the problem is not on our side and we are currently investigating to solve the problem. So far the disconnects are only short and most of the time you can reenter relatively quickly. We are looking into it and I will let you know as soon as we know more.

    We have further extended the max players that the servers allow, and the server is still doing fine. We are now monitoring server performance to see if any issues appear.

    Important: Avoid Mountain Cross
    If you are an experience player, you'll know how. If you are a new player and happen to end up in mountain cross, you can use the boat and fast travel to another starter town. If you leave your stuff in the bank, you can fast travel for free (and pick your stuff back up later). If that's not an option, you can still travel manually to another starter town.

    Servers are still doing well despite absolutely crazy numbers and we'll keep easing off the queue as long as we do not encounter any issues.

    The queue times you see in the client are NOT accurate. We are constantly increasing the max players the server will let in, so your actual waiting time is likely much lower than what you see.

    The scheduled downtime went smoothly and we are 1 hour away from the Veteran players being able to log in.

    We'll keep you updated in this thread about the server and report any issues that may occur with today's influx of new players.
