If I remember my lore correctly, technically the heretics were the first wave of settlers from the old world. Mostly criminals, convicts and the like. Though after they got to Albion they were influenced by the cult of Morgana and driven mad by their magics.

Erm, is a simple click of the mouse too much effort for you? Many games have starting videos when you start up and you can skip the same way. Not sure what the problem is. If your concerned about clicking, maybe gaming might not be for you.

It's well "done", technically speaking, but it's also completly without character, and could be an intro to many random tasteless stories quickly forgotten.

Old intro was epic, and original. It expressed the real soul of the game.
In the new one, animation and voice are nice, but it looks very generic/impersonal to me. Was 100 times more hyped first time i saw the old one. -

It's all just personal taste and fancy I guess. I didn't like the old one. Watched it twice I think. Looked cheap and tacky I'm my opinion. I think the new one looks great.
