Another possible suggestion would be to have a separate inventory tab for journals and tools.
Players who focus on gathering and using laborers can easily fill over half their inventory slots with these items.
Having a better way to manage them would be a great quality of life improvement.

better alternative would be to have 1 journal for everything
like - a journal with no limits that tracks ALL the progress you do; when giving it to the laborer, he only takes his part of the needed fame.
that way, all the mess in the inventory is gone.
on death, you drop it, the other guy can loot that journal and discard it by moving all its' fame into his.
it also tracks the "right" tiers, e.g. gathering t7 counts towards the t7-gathering-page, which can still be used on a t6-laborer/job.
but that would require some longer lines of coding, which isnt anywhere near high-prio
stack of empty, stack of full and 1 partially opened - those should do it for now.
