    A. About Us/Guild History

Originally, Hour of Turmoil was started in Tera on the server Mount Tyrannas (PvP). We were a largely successful guild with many top-tier members. We were a dominant power in Guild vs Guild and even beat another guild 20 vs 40 due to skill and coordination. Eventually, boredom of Tera kicked in, and slowly the guild began to fall inactive and eventually disband.

However, HoT did not die, and the guild was reorganized in the game, Rust. We absolutely wrecked others in Rust and also participated in 4v4s. Moving on, Hour of Turmoil went to SWTOR. Now, HoT heavily participates in raiding and PvP (invincible is a title you get when you essentially destroy in a PvP match). I have recently stepped down as guild master to pursue starting a LoL branch and an AO branch. From at least seven years of creating communities (some that failed epicly), I became excellent at community building, scheduling/hosting events (emailed EnMasse to be able to host the first new battleground tournament which HoT funded), creating a fun environment, selecting leadership, and etc. Hour of Turmoil, while a fun guild, has an environment designed to make players excel and improve. The beauty of HoT is that we will always be adapting to the MMO market. Perhaps, you want to start up your own HoT division. We can help you
    :) .

    B. Albion Online Branch

The primary aspect of Albion Online I enjoy is the freedom of choice and a non-linear path. What is different about this guild compared to the many others on the forums, you may ask. We're HoTter than the rest
    8) . Our member cap will be between 50 and 100 members. I do not want to be known as a zerg guild, but rather a guild entirely with skilled players. In the first alpha test, we were the first guild to capture a castle and to get tier 4 buildings though we had a mere fraction of other guilds. Hour of Turmoil's goals have always been to excel and improve while having fun. If we're not having fun, what is the point?

As such, initially, we will not be focusing on PvP. We will definitely be doing in-guild duels for practice, but we will not be caught up in the war heavily. Instead, we will be using the following 4 step plan:

    1. Gather Resources, Kill Mobs, Gather Resources, Get Silver, Gather more RESOURCES!
    2. Rush to T4 and beyond. We'll get those buildings going, and as a guild, we'll get our crafting skills up there.
    3. While everyone is dying and losing gear, we'll be farming and preparing for dominance.
    4. It's time to ~PVP~ ~PVP~ ~PVP~!!!

    C. Rules

    • Drama. We don't like it. If you have a problem with someone, take it up in a private message or with me.
    • Activity. We want fairly active players. If you'll be gone, let me know.
    • Maturity. Be mature. Don't act childish
    • Teamspeak 3. Microphone is not required. TS3 is free!
    • Common Sense. Rules are boring. Don't make me add to this list. Use common sense.

    D. Players we're looking for
    1. Teachable players. While you may be a skilled player, everyone has room for improvement. Constructive criticism may be needed at times in limited quantities.
    2. Dedicated players. We want to retain our members and ensure out guild continues to improve and grow.
    3. Funny/laid-back members. We DO NOT want uptight members who just blame others or can't take a joke.
    4. Experienced players. We prefer you have experience from other MMOs.
    5. Leadership Ability. This is not required though it will surely help you get promoted to a higher rank.
    6. English speakers. You MUST speak English.
    7. Players from differing time zones. I am American though I want a diverse guild to maximize our efficiency.
    8. 17+. We want to maintain a mature environment. There are occasionally exceptions, but generally 17 or under will be denied.

    E. Application

Fill out this short ONLY IF you have an epic or legendary pack: Google Forms Application. You can post here or message me if you wish to confirm that it was received. Looking forward to reading your applications

I'm just playing LoL atm. I haven't played many mmos since oldschool runescape died. Albion is the only game that has made me excited in a long long time :)

I'm presuming you don't play on the NA server? As that is where I will be starting the LoL branch. I used to run a LoL community and tons of tournaments, so I'm excited to see how it turns out.
    What's your LoL rank?
  • Sorry, I play on EU west. I'm currently Gold IV.
I used to be somewhat competitive and actually won a national tournament once but I'm casually playing for like over a year now, so my performance has been decreasing. Only game im interested now is Albion but I will only decide which guild to join whenever I get to play with my friends so we can all decide what we want to do and stick together :)

But ye, I'm pretty competitive. I only have fun playing games if I get to be competitive.
I also played Gunz the duel (you probably never heard of it). It had the worst community I've ever known in any game, but I loved it cause everybody was so god damn competitive haha

this was the game I loved to play the most but now its dead thanks to pay2win item shops, the usual stuff xD. also cause the game has a long and hard learning curve and newbies would give up after getting raped countless times by decent players.
