Evil Bastages

  • Evil Bastages

Evil Bastages has just stumbled upon this game while we wait for Crowfall to come out. Founded by myself way back in early days of UO on the Atlantic server, this game brings back some serious UO memories (but with better graphics). Between UO, then Shadowbane, and now today, we have played just about every MMORPG with pvp possibilities that has come out. However, nothing has been as fun as UO and SB were, and we have drifted from game to game.

This game looks like it could be a lot of fun. We plan to be highly active fighting in the red zones and could use some more manpower. Most guilds have rules. We have none. Most guilds have members who are scared of losing their pixels (particularly in full loot games). Such people do not last in EB. Most guilds have rigid structures of power and leadership. Such political structure is not necessary in EB because we are all of one mind - find the best way to get the most fights and kill the most people and do that every night. I do not run EB with an iron fist. Everyone in our guild has a voice. This works because we all have a simple goal - kill other people, and do it frequently. We have been following this approach for 15 years and if you are a pvper/pker who likes to have fun, you will find this approach works. Low stress, high fun. No pity for the weak.

If you would like to join EB, you can message me on Oakblades (or Nobutwait, Damodred, Jondur, Banthur), but please know that you will likely need very thick skin, an immunity to foul language, a good sense of humor, a dedication to pvp, a lack of pity for your fellow gamer if they are the enemy, and basically not be an annoying person (we are not afraid to kick people just for being annoying). There is no application process. You get on TS with us and if we get along and we both like what we see, you will become EB for life. Our prime time is eastern time evenings. Right now we are only about 20 strong - but our guild base is big, so hopefully more and more of our members start playing over the course of beta, as those of us who started playing have only been playing since about a week after beta launch and we were not tracking this game.

We are also interested in alliances. Please drop me a line if you have interest.

We live on the eastern zones - those near Queenspool. If you are roaming Bonefort and the red zones around there in eastern prime time evenings, chances are you will see us.

  • I just found this thread from nearly 3 years ago! At the time, we thought the game would be releasing in a few months... Now it finally is, wow! Most of us went into hibernation as we were not sure this game would every truly release. A lot of us will be coming out of hibernation for release. We are open for recruitment and open to join into alliances with other smaller sized pvp guilds to form war parties. We did it in beta and it worked well. Allying with us means having a solid group around who will always join all pvp outings. Drop a pm if interested in joining us or making alliances. I imagine our numbers will be around 15-20 at launch, and it could spike up if our member base gets interested.
  • Thanks Tell, will do if things do not work out for us a guild in this game. Nice recruitment thread you have going on - looks like you will be building something strong full of people who have lots of playtime. That was us back when we were in college. Now most of our guild is a bunch of older guys and gals with families (but hey, now we make lots of money). :) Our kids will be the next power gaming generation of EB. Are you guys only allying with big guilds? If our alliance options dont work out, we would love to join you guys in bigger battles as a strike force that can take care of itself. Our primary active time is 8 pm to 1 am EST pretty much everyday.

Also bumping this for more alliance interest from smaller pvp guilds. Thank you for the interest that has been shown so far. We like to ally up with 3 or 4 so we have constant options to go out and fight.

We've actually got a reaally nice balance of people in the community so far. From as young as 16 to as old as 51, but we all get on like a house on fire (really well, for anyone who's not familiar with this lol).

No we're not adopting the same principals as other guilds, in most we're actually bucking the trend - but evidently it's proving to be effective and beneficial. :) We're open to discussions for ailiaaces with all guilds, both big and small. We would firstly prefer to see how things progress post-launch and to ensure both guilds are a good fit for one another before making anything official though. :)
