    • Why I quit the game ….

if I can say some comment on the game .. and why my friends and I stop playing it …. i really enjoyed playing the game, grinding for hours and hours until I get to t5… the bad side of the game start… the pvp side come and the fun go away… try to grind ..die.. try to have fun and die… what a waste of time… the game was so nice! market! graphic, mechanic , gameplay … but the red and dark zone ruin the fun time.. no more couch grinding on phone or tablet… always looking if players closed if you and run …

Sorry you had this experience - but the game is meant to be a full loot PVP game. (there are ways to play in Safe or Red Zone safely and the game is much safer now anyway)

Its like going to an ice-cream shop and being disappointed that you can only buy ice-cream...
    • As a player who plays slowly and mainly in safe zones, I understand the shock of getting yourself all of sudden in a world of violence after having reached T5 specializations, taking a trip in red and black zones still gives me creeps and it will probably last forever... :( But I'm sure you can enjoy the game anyway: lots of contents are available for players who don't like PvP zones, faction warfare can give you enough silver, rewards and entertainment to continue to play, also you can have small trips to unsafe zones and get used to them time by time, it could be hard at the beginning but you can do it! ;)
    • I used to be the same, staying in yellow zones all the time. However, when the outposts came in, I found it easier to access the black zones. Using the blue pots, there is time to run through the zone to next zone, and sometimes enough time to find a green dungeon, where you will be safe for 90 seconds. So I started doing T6 dungeons that way, then gradually felt safer running around gathering in those zones, and I learned not to take things that I can afford to lose.

Getting ganked gets old, so when it happens I do these things:

      1. I send a tell to the killer, saying, "Nice kill." or "You got me." or something polite. Sometimes a good conversation starts.
      2. I pick a different zone to hunt in.
      3. If I am sick of getting ganked, I'll go gathering in yellow zones, or flag up and look for faction fights, or go to T5 mists and gather and kill things and have some safer fun.

In the black zones where I go, I think of the zone in four quadrants, and if I see people in one area, I go to another. If I am hunting in the open, I remember where green dungeons are in case I need to hide for a while.

You don't have to go to the Black Zone. Especially if you are couch gaming on phone or tablet.

    • game is pretty brutal
and like 80% of most profitable activity is locked behind lethal PvP

most joining the game would not expect the Full loot PvP as it was not advertised as a Full loot PvP

unless you are super into full loot PvP (Eve online) or from an MMO genera with Open world PvP aspects (new world)
Look up minecraft war servers as another prime example
like this game catches alot of people off guard and it becomes an unfun game fast

    • I disagree that this game wasn't advertised as a full loot PVP game. It has never shied away from that.

However, this game does one thing very well--it provides space for people who do not want to be killed. Other games have a "PVP' area that is a small part of the world. There is no way to go there and avoid PVP. Albion Online provides many ways to get to the black or red areas, indivisibly shrines so you can run through the first territory to another one safely, journey back ways, and huge areas for players to gather or hunt if they want to. Yes, it's dangerous, but safer because it's huge. The mists and the roads add more space.

So lots of people play in the black zones not to kill, but to avoid being killed, get what they want, and leave. With another server opening, those spaces might become even safer.

      Have fun!

There's plenty of other PvE focused MMOs you could go play. Please play those instead of crying about PVP in a PVP game.
This was never advertised as a PvP only game. It's a sandbox MMORPG. Meaning that PVE/PVP exist equally but more or less since it's F2P launch the PVP side seems to have taken over the PVE side of content.

With the opening of Asian server this leaves a good spot for them to create a global PVE server option with so many mobile players wanting a safe and fun option to play with. This is the time to do it. Sooner the better.

No. PvE servers are a bad idea.

Lol this is the exact entitlement that killed Eve and will kill this game too. It HAS TO BE dangerous for any of the other mechanics you enjoy to function. You like farming gathering crafting and selling on a player driven market? Then you like non-consensual full-loot PvP, because without that mechanic all of your PvE is worth nothing. A PvE only server wouldn't even function for a game like this. There HAS TO BE full loot PvP in this game or the economy will completely crumble.

But who I am kidding. I'm talking to a brick wall of entitlement here. Your kind has killed every PvP MMO I've played since UO and will continue to do so here I have no doubt.

I am sorry, but this is utter nonsense. We need more lethal PVP (it has to be balanced, which is tricky). Albion is one of the few only full-loot PVP driven MMOs out there. There are thousands of PVE only games (and MMOs). Go play one of them if you don't like the idea of Albion. It has absolutely been advertised as a full-loot PVP game. The entire premise of the economy and "you can be anything" is due to full loot PVP.

New World already died (it been what? less then a year?)... and I remember they were making fun of me on NW world forums for pushing for full-loot PVP there... haha...

Plenty of zones already exist that do not have full loot pvp, there are dozens of billionaires in this game that do not even participate in pvp, what more do you want? The game is advertised as a full loot pvp mmo sandbox. If you just want to pve, learn how to escape, pay scouts, and avoid red names, it is possible, but if you really just want to pve, this game really isn't for you and there are games that are designed around PvE which makes those games much better for PvE.
    • I wish more 'hard core' games had graphics like Dark Souls or Valheim, neither of which I have played, but the graphics do a lot to let you know what to expect at a gut level.

That said, it's unlikely to happen, especially in an mmo. Cute (but not cartoonish), stylized graphics, non-pvp mechanics, and collectibles are all intended to draw in non-pvp players so that hopefully, pvp players can kill them. Think of yourself as potential content for other players - if you leave those safe zones, and the game obviously wants you to.

I feel game devs definitely know what they're doing, especially in an mmo, and it's not like Albion is any worse than many other games in this department. Basically, the graphics are tailor made to be appealing to every kind of carebear (like me).

It's particularly important for pvp games to get noobs/carebears, what have you, into lethal zones, because most players want easy kills. Even players who want to fight someone 'just as good as them' don't mean they want to do that all the time.

Anyway, games like this are painstakingly crafted to suck in non-pvp players, and to encourage a certain amount of self delusion. I think every (successful) pvp game understands they have to manipulate non-pvp players into pvp situations.

Also they are unlikely to create a PVE server, unless they decide to become a PVE game.
