new oneshot builds

I came across a really powerful build that might be OP

CLAWs
mage cowl
new cloth top (frost)
royal sandals
demon cape

it can oneshot just about anything in under 2 seconds if full combo hits even against full plate mace with taproot pushing 6k+ hp.

i saw the videos
and yes its strong

without hard defensives you are fked

but it has such a long set up time and you can see it from a mile away

and after that you are glass cannon with no defensives

i suggest toning down damage/power of the new cloth armor
because it starting to look like wild fire rework all over again. High base damage with 15% max hp damage

or it can be because of users in 8.4 being too strong have to check

complete glass cannon

Like bloodletter with plate boots/mine boots instead, u poke enough to reach execute hp and vroom out of there, the difference is that u lose the defense of cleric robe

Know what counters it?

Same robe, but second ability with the stun. You’ll stun lock him for 5 seconds from the second he throws poison. It’s absolutely devastating and the stun seemingly has no DR.

The same ability vs hellion jacket is comical. It perma stun locks the jacket user for the duration of his heal spell + does 8-9 ticks of the stun damage.

There are multiple counters to this, cleric cowl, break free boots, cleanse, same expensive armor with lightning shield.

yes it sucks being pushed into certain gear, but sometimes thats it.

i agree counter exist, but look e.g. cleric chowl. It protects vs one oneshot. But the next oneshot u need something else the one shot is long available before cleric chowl is there...cleanse is too niche u loose vs everything else and if u take the boots u mobility sucks and oneshot has unlimited trys..

So u have to heavily adapt while oneshot has the free walk away plus the unlimited try. That sucks

Look good on paper, completely trash on the field.

Take too long to set up & looks too obvious while setting up. May as well beg: "hey you there, stay still, wait me a sec"
Even after you've latched on Claw E itself is not a reliable tool to bet everything of yourself on it, just to get countered, Half of the shit in this game have something to manage a claw E

You have no defensive whatsoever and betting everything on a very very unreliable spell. Once it has failed, you die for having nothing left. And it will fail.

90% of one shot builds have no or very limited mobility (the 10% of somewhat fast ones being the quarterstaves with demon cape and maybe spears). They are pretty much "all in". Thats what makes it balanced... if they mess up their combo or get countered... its GG usually.

Demon Cape has a pretty long CD, no? About 1 min CD.
