    • Consequences for Exploiting the Fame-Distribution Bug

      Dear Players,


      As you might know, there was a bug regarding the distribution of Fame progress on the Destiny Board last Thursday, which was fixed with a Hotfix 4 hours after it went live. (link here: forum.albiononline.com/index.p…ribution-Bug-Consequences)

      Due to that, today at maintenance we have set back the Destiny Board for 500+ players who have heavily exploited this bug. This mainly includes players using a massive amount of Tomes of Insight, but also some crafters that created excessive numbers of items for affected nodes.

      During maintenance today, the Destiny Boards of these players were migrated back to the status at Thursday's downtime. This means that, for affected players, any Fame gained since Thursday has been lost.

      More specifically, affected players have their Destiny Board progress and Fame Credits reset to the state these were in at maintenance on Thursday 9 June. Any Learning Points spent since that point are reset. Learning Points earned since Thursday will still be retained.


      We would like to keep reminding players that we cannot tolerate the abuse of bugs. Exploiting this bug is considered a breach of our Terms & Conditions under section 15.5.4:


      Compelling reasons include for example (without limitation):
      • If the User is engaged in cheating, use of bots, financial fraud or severe abuse of bugs.
      For that reason, any loss of progress, including the tomes or materials these players have spent in the process, is considered part of the punishment and will not be reimbursed.

    • as i say in the other threat.. the biggest benefited from the bug aren't only who's use them.. its who's sell them too. what about who's earned billions selling higher price than normal.
      and there's a lot player abuse this bug thx to your announcements about not rolling back.. give them a huge excuse to sell those item and trying to lie player to buy them.
      Those player are abuser of bug too. but they haven't any punishment?

      its hard to find them but at least. count them as abuser too.. becouse bug could repeat and those guys will earn billions again.
      in my opinion whos the real abuser are whos selled tome and material at higer price than normal. its create tons of silver to them buy nothing.

      and whos used those tome.. they have payed at higer price than normal and yeah it gived more fame but not that much calculated in %. the price of tome was rised to 30k. when it was 20k and al most tome gived doubled fame but only in same weapons. and other in 3 spec. so its just 30% more cheaper than normal with this bug. to normal player that havent used the bug it afected nothing. but whos selled item at higer price.. its afected alot to the rest player becoues its changed the market in the bad way. but U guys dont take any punishment to them?

      doesn't matter they didn't violated the gameplay and it just like they got lucky because stupid abuser don't care about the risk and still buy tome for higher prices from them. LMAO

      Good move SBI! 99% of those who were using the books knew what they were doing and took the risk. No need for complaints and tears now.

      You can say what you want, but those players did not abuse the bug so there is no good reason to punish them. They only abused the bug abusers that paid an excessive amount for tomes because they thought they would get an insane amount of fame anyway.

      they dont abuse the bug? when u know theres a bug and u go sell ur tome as fast as posible its nor abusing the bug? whos pay a killer to kill some body..is more assessing than the killer.

      Not only those who ate books, but also those who practiced manual exercises were also eaten. This is a bug in the game, how can players be punished??

      Useful is useful. Useful bugs should be backtracked together. You just don't dare to offend most players and pick out a few unfortunate people.

      The mistakes made by the game itself have been traced back, and I haven't even returned the book. Why do game developers make mistakes all day long, bugs occur all day long, and players pay for it. When will game developers review themselves??

      有用就是有用。有用的錯誤應該一起回溯。你只是不敢得罪大多數玩家，並挑出一些不幸的人。


      遊戲本身犯的錯誤都被追溯了，我連書都沒有還。為什麼遊戲開發者終日犯錯，bug終日出現，玩家為此付出代價。遊戲開發者什麼時候會自我檢討？？

      they dont abuse the bug? when u know theres a bug and u go sell ur tome as fast as posible its nor abusing the bug? whos pay a killer to kill some body..is more assessing than the killer.
      as i said they dont violated anything they just put the price higher than normal because they know they will got lot of money from stupid abuser that think can get instant fame from the bug. do you understand what i said? hmm
