Weapon balance on the first day of the patch

      If that burst damage come from some brinstones, some staffs or channel weapons, I would not complain because it feel legitimate and counterable.

      However this instant damage come from some melee weapons on clothy.
      I dont know if devs really care about a weapon playstyle. But to me, melee should be played like bruiser. And if they are clapper, they should not deal heavy damage anytime they like. Stacking made melee clapped more vulnerable, however, the trending insta damage Melee clapper make old school weapons feel like a joke.

      Finally, some suggestions to make the insta clap melee weapons unexploitable:
      1st, if possible, just delete those bs weapons, haha, if iam the devs.
      2nd, make effects on those weapons depend on armors of the caster. For example, spiked gloves E(wearing steel and leather armor) will have full slow effect, and 0 or half effect on clothy caster. For example, realm breaker will have full debuff (steel and leather caster) and half or 0 debuff if clothy caster. Raven strike E knockup. Kingmaker E knockup (however swords have to stack).

      Exactly on this PVP combat problems we have to blame SBI/Testers for no have some good judgment, the best example is the Bloodletter and the 40% hp execution on a game like this for years.. And there is more..

      its hard being one of the few active on the forums playtesting and actively giving feedback
      and taking crap for missing a few OP stuff

      if we had more players play testing and giving feedback i can actually engage in Actual intellectual game balance instead of the monkey fest we have


      i find it stupid that people BLAME SBI after the balance changes come to live instead of giving feedback to make sure those broken stuff does not make it live in the first place
      We had a whole 3 weeks to tell SBI in forms HEY that weapon is broken

      SBI listened and nerf nature thorns and bug fix nature Q3 after listening to feedback
      and even buff Holy smite after some feedback
      i sure had a fight with Trial_Hard about it but hey they listened and balance change

      Right now, the only playable holy in pvp is hallowfall in Cooldown robe and of course forcefield..

      Forcefield is another topic they don't listen.. forcefield is the engage unload..knock away ..bs mechanic..but hey..we keep saying it for years..

      Nature is painful in pvp as anything that can keep u damaged permanent aka has mobility will destroy u..

      Thorns we already talked about are too clumsy, AA bonus needs to go..thorns then get the AA bonus damage
    • I don't understand why dual swords is not more popular..

      Today was my sword day and it is like warp speed..

      Also if u run..claymore is much more loved than dual sword, but resetting is so much easier with dual sword..

      Dual sword is a little like paws from Playstyle..

      And the heal..u E, push iron will if they can purge..and bam u Merc heals like no tomorrow..

      11:1 result..only thing that u need be careful is current fire other swords, cripple and that's it..

      I know I asked for fire buffs but I am unhappy with a big part of this

      First of all, ignite rework, it deals waaaay to much AoE damage with no skillshot and super low cooldown, there is almost no reason to use firewall, fire wave or flaming flare over this

      Fire artillery didnt need buffs, really

      Infernal staff silence is waay to long, I would prefer a dmg reduction, in several other rpg being burned is either take DoT or deal less damage, so I think it would be fine

      Great fire buff is nice, more damage and same cooldown if you are good enough with it, whithout being gamebreaking

      1h fire rework is nice and fun

      I combined flaming flare and 1h fire and I had lots of fun playing that, despite not being very strong


      Anyway, some buffs were just overkill, please retro dont take the path of making everyone overpowered, games like that are not fun

      nothing is OP he just adjusted to gloves & swords and trinity..

      But then the rest is completely UP

      Long story short it's a complete mess

      Imagine the following processes:

      Our data says, that gloves are too powerful in 1:1 combat. We would like to reduce mobility a bit and damage.

      We would like to get proposal from community on this...

      2 weeks later...

      We have read your feedback and ideas..we think that we want to try one of the following 3 ideas you proposed. The 3 guys that had this idea get the following skin.

      Please vote, which of the 3 ideas you want us to implement and test ...

      2 weeks later.. according to the vote the following idea will be implemented ..please test..

      I wish, AT MINIMUM, they would swap Forcefield and Howl. Howl never gets used (they even tried buffing it) and its a targeted skill shot that kinda sucks to hit while Forcefield is a free i-win button on a low cooldown.

      Imagine Forcefield being an actual skill shot that players could mess up (and die as a result of), and Howl was this easier AOE to hit that always gave value.

    • Just as an example there is a streamer that really heavily invests in nature..

      He plays stalker - Stalker u can win with every build skill is extremely low there but he is really struggling to climb..

      He uses everything.. .2 slayer food and t7 pots..really expensive for stalker sets..

      But he doesn't really raise up..

      I said it, one week and nobody is in top 100 of slayer and even not on stalker with nature..

      Yet the power creep is crazy ..

      Means gloves in no cape kills some expensive streamer in stalker..and reason is simple...can stick to target...
