Journey Back Ability

    • Journey Back Ability

In my opinion, the ability to "Travel back" simplifies the game too much, breaks the mechanics of logistics, because thinking through the route is an important part of survival and earning in the world of Albion. Only a person who is not really familiar with the game could offer to introduce such a thing. This is not WoW, with huge safe locations, this is Albion, where danger should be everywhere, where you need to be on your guard, and you can relax your vigilance only in small areas. This ability allows you not to strive for safety, but just to press one button and be in it. Now there is no need to gather people for protection, there is no need to choose not only the optimal, but also a safe route, now there is no need to prepare for transportation or any road, because you can do it all with one button. Now there is no need for "eyes", now resources will flood the cities, because the gatherers do not need to go back, they will be much more likely to survive, because now the ganges will become twice as difficult, if not practically impossible, because now you can just "jump over" problematic locations with one button, if you really go along those, you can now catch either a very poor carrier, or a stupid one, or too self-confident.
It sounds presumptuous, but I really hope that you will think about this skill again and its introduction in general.
    • Blame the idiotic gankers who just static camp zones. They're the reason why the devs did this. There's also a silver cost when using it with a 1 hour cooldown. Devs are obviously trying to get more players into the black zone since the land mass is huge and most of the player base doesn't even go there. At least with this they might try and venture in now. Albion should have danger but sorry the camping gankers have ruined much of that because of their lazy asses. Remember the realm gates before they added the invisibility "soup"? Remember being chased by 20+ ppl as soon as you got into the zone because they just sit there all day? Ya that's the reason for the changes, just like how they added this. Blame the gankers because it's their fault for forcing the devs hands to do something about that stupid/no skill gameplay.

It sucks getting killed by gankers but I'd rather be killed by roaming ones then just idiots sitting on exits on both sides of a zone. It's like in Classic WoW when they enabled the PvP ranking system. I was on a server that was 70% Horde as Alliance. You couldn't go anywhere because all Horde just camped all the flight paths and dungeon entrances. Took you hours to do anything and guess what happened? People left those servers in droves and creating entire ghost towns of servers. There's no skill in sitting on your ass picking ppl off 20-1. Albion's grown over time because the devs realized how much harm some of these "pvper" (they aren't they are just grievers) do to the overall health of the game and made changes to make the game more accessible. Before Covid-19 the game wasn't doing the greatest and now it's got a pretty solid footing.

To all the gankers who think they're turning the game into easy mode I have one question. What exactly do you call a 10+ vs 1? Isn't that exactly what you are mocking (easy mode)? There's zero skill involved with locking down one player and killing them without them even having a chance because you just stun lock them with a big group. Many of you are just mad because you're just straight up sociopaths. I've seen the way you relish in ruining people's gaming sessions; can't get more sociopathic then that!

Blame the idiotic gatherers/fame farmers/transporters who go solo instead forming propher escorts who can give a fair fight. I absolutely agree, I've tried a variety of gaming content, and for each of them there is an effective way to cope, especially for a gang that overlaps one location. Gangers are more not ready for an open fight, they would rather sell their own than join the fight.

If the collector / carrier goes alone, ALTHOUGH HE CAN go accompanied or at least with an "eye", even so it is quite possible to hide from gangers even on a t3 horse, especially with the introduction of Avalon Paths.

There are 2 different setups - for gank and for small scale. You cant put on small scale and dismount effectively at the same time. Devs make dismounting a real problem so every carebear can evade fights so easily
If a person is dismounted in a small-scale setup, then he clearly made a lot of mistakes and this is clearly his problem, and not anyone else's.

The logic is clear, but fundamentally wrong.
If people had the opportunity and desire to unite in large combat-ready groups, they might not have traveled through the BZ alone.
They would farm close to HQ or stand at the exit themselves. Or maybe they would do better things.
Most loners don't have the ability or the strong desire to put together a combat group and kill a 10+ ppl group of gankers.

Maybe instead we will blame the small scale groups rolling around the location, but not killing such gankers?Or remove a cancerous tumor from the brains of static gankers? As an example, I can't join a guild just because of always being able to be in a strong group. I have a headache after sitting in a group discord channel for an hour. And with our groups of 3 people, we can defeat 5-7 people (9 is a record, but there were 4.1 fighters).

This is a matter solely of your desires, someone was able to get together, and someone did not, this is a sandbox and we are free in our actions.
Even if you can't assemble a group, you can always GO AROUND A PROBLEMATIC LOCATION. Again, with the introduction of the Avalon Paths, this task becomes the easiest. -.-

There is no doubt, but it should be good gangers, although even those are not easy to catch a t6-t7 mount.
Also, these gangers are interested in densely populated/central locations, you can collect on the outskirts or in the same Paths of Avalon (what a strong update)

to be honest, i never needed it..

My only issue was the split up loot.

I entered via Roads Portal on a map with bz portal invis - 100% safe

After 2 portals in roads you break out back to bz just make sure it is deep black

Map is mostly empty and safe...

If u done & loaded just reenter roads and drop out yellow / red portal
