Currently? Mace and bow, potentially Badon, add armor of valor works for both mage chowl works for both, too. Capes need no spec one is Carleon one is thetford

I started running Corrupted Dungeons on Hunter difficulty in tier V Soldier gear with Broadsword and Shield. Barely over 800IP. The boss fight is pretty tight but it's doable, just gotta learn the pattern and utilise Hamstrings secondary jump ability to dodge a specific attack.
I'm not sure Soldier gear makes for a great PVP defense though - I've lost both time's I've encountered another player. -
There's no set bonus in this game. The only items that has relevant stats are your chestpiece (determines damage dealt and resists) and weapon. Hat and boots are pretty much interchangeable, the only difference is spells.
