Bearpaws for PvE?

    • Bearpaws for PvE?

Pretty much all I do in game battlewise is PvE and I've been totally a 'Sword and Board' user with 100 both in swords and specialist . I've tried a couple of Axes and can't quite get the feel for them. Would Bearpaws be a reasonable weapon for PvE? I would want to take it up to max if I like it, an just wonder how it compares.

      Axe and PvE is Greataxe.
      Thanks for the comment.
I've tried Greataxe a bit, up to level 3 in it, but can't get the timing feeling right. Guess though I'll go back and try again.
The Greataxe E is the ultimate PvE farm ability. 360 degree damage ability what can be helpfully when mobs are moving places where they should not. I know the Q is kinda fked up now... But I think it's still the best.
    • After Greataxe and overall axe nerf i dropped the greataxe all together. Bleed is not reliable any longer and spin is weaker with longer CD (really killed it for me, constantly finding myself waiting for cooldown) that really cuts into clearing time. Better off with spear or xbows, All this min/max distance skills on axe are killing this weapon as you constantly need to watch your placement, There are so many better weapons for clearing dungeons.

    • I am 700/700 axe and have extensive experience with all the axes both before the game killing patch 4 and after it. Axes are a dead weapon regardless of what you are doing (PVE, PVP, ZVZ, GVG, etc) there is a better option. They not only destroyed Bear Paws specifically, but they nerfed almost every single critical axe skill. You can look at all the data available and see that the weapon tree is DOA - it is good at nothing and totally not fun to play anymore.

I would suggest another weapon tree for you but my personal opinion is that this game is not worth it. It's too much of grind to get really setup in a weapon tree and based on the latest nerfbat that invested time could get flushed in a second. Try Valheim - our whole group moved to it after patch 4. Decent game.

No it´s not. It´s pretty bad for PVE.

The cooldown was increased from 20 to 25 seconds and damage in pve was reduced by like what, at least 40%.

That´s not good. That´s a god damn trash.

Greataxe is now for gruop pvp, and bear paws deal heavy damage to mobs - so bear paws are actually better in pve now.

    • I am most PvE players. I like PvE chalange.
Our small group most time last few years spend on red zone group dungeons but for us better option now is soloing group dungeons on yellow zone.

Full set 8.3 - lifecurse + cryptcandle + stalker jacket + helmet for reset stalker jacket (I dont remamber name) + any shoes. Food roastpork 7 or higher
You can clear all type of dungeons (I dont clean morganas because is too many range mobs ant this slow me too much)

      For killing bosses -
1 handed dager + cryptcandle + hunter jacket + assassin hood + knight shoes
      or
lifecurse + cryptcandle + mercenery jacket + helmet for reset jacket (I dont remamber name) + knight shoes/or diffrent

      keepers bosses
      I cant kill earthdaughter
old lady I can kill solo with lifcurse

      undead
I have big problem with fallen guvernor (he is very dangerous below 20% HP) I can kill him but risk for repair cost is too high :D
Most bosses killing with dagger build (change spells depends about boss). If is 2 bosses I use lifecurse with mercanery jacket.

      Heretic
chief blaster - lifecurse + mercenarry
overseer - dagger - again high risk

      Morgana
I don't do it now but on the past I kill all bosses using dagger (after nerf) both morgana final bosses are high risk for repair cost.

Yellow zone can give you to 1m fame /1h (random group dungeons)
      10% avalonian buff
      to +15% faction fame buff
      satchel 8.3 + set 8.3

loot is shit and is silver sink but good fame
