I recently enlisted in factions and flagged up. I started gathering in a yellow zone and killing mobs. After about an hour I went to the faction npc and it says 0 points still. From what everyone is telling me I should receive some points for gathering and killing mobs. I have premium and the symbol by my name shows I'm flagged. What am I doing wrong?

Can you share a screenshot of your Faction Warfare screen? The Current Points can be seen on the lower left section of that menu.

Thanks for sharing, it does show zero. There is a pop up when you kill mobs in the Yellow zones that shows you're earning points, is this not showing up for you?

Nope it never shows that I'm gaining points. This is what my screen shows. It shows I'm flagged.

Not really, it's just a way to show that he's offering trade missions.

When you kill mobs, you should be getting the following indicators over your character's head.
The faction icon in the middle means you're earning points. -

Probably your gear is too low. You need minimum 700 on your item power to get points.
I had this problem when I was gathering in between capping, and it took me awhile to figure out that I was getting points for killing things and caps but NOT for gathering because when gathering the game would use the ip of my gathering tool for the calculation instead of my weapon.
Equipping a cape fixed everything, usually don't bother with them, but that useless dead weight/repair cost does put me well over 700 ip.
