Give me a reason to wear good gear

    • Give me a reason to wear good gear

The exciting fights in this game are small scale fights where you're both in 8.3

Please give us a reason to put this gear on and give us a sustainable way to find these fights, currently there's no expectation of finding good fights in any small scale content and it's the major problem this game faces in small scale

ALL loot and matchmaking in corrupted and hellgates should be PURELY based on IP, giving people a reason to wear good gear will create RISK v. REWARD which is severely lacking from the games design.

"Please give us a reason to put this gear" -> Totally agree.

"a sustainable way to find these fights" -> Avalonian roads is a good place for this after you've figure out how to find them. I run the Ava road duo with a partner, and find tons of small scale fight. Typically, 2 of us versus 2 - 6 opponents. You find 1 - 3 fights like this in the Ava road every hour, excluding fights against low tier PT (below T7).

"ALL loot and matchmaking in corrupted and hellgates should be PURELY based on IP" -> This, i don't think is a good idea as it'd be abused to the ground. People wearing certain IP range to match up against certain class of opponents they want. Also, fighting undergeared and win is fun, and an IP based matchmaking will remove this. (I'm talking about like 8.1 winning 8.3, not overcharged flat 6 wasting 8.3 time)

    • There is special content for new players like non-lethal corrupted/hellgates.
There is special PVE content with high tier gear like 8-3 avalon dung and 15 HCE
But there is no special PVP content with high tier gear.
There should be elite corrupted/hellgates with IP requirements 1500+. And its so easy to make it that i am really wondering why devs dont do it

The reason a higher IP requirement need reconsidering is because it divide the player in to even more group, which will significantly increase queue time.

For example, let's assume there were 100k player currently in the slayer bracket. If they set up another 1500 ip level. 90k of those will be in the slayer and the rest 10k run the new 1500 IP lvl. With the number of participant cut by 10 times, queue time will increase just as much.

Who cares about queue to get content? They added HCE instances. RD instances. They have empty BZ and added avalon roads. Game already became horse simulator.
Its better to spend 10-20 minutes more in PVE and get type of PVP content you want then not to get it ever.

=) You might not care but lots of other people care. A quick stroll around the forum will reveal tons of people complaining about it.

When CD first came out, you had to clear 3 - 4 dungeons before getting matched. Then people ranted about long queue time, and SBI responded by tweaking the matchmaking system, allowing much faster match making but at the expense of matching quality.

Then come people like you who want thing back to how it was before (long queue but better matching)

but devs not. They make 20 crystal, 10 HG. Its all eat players from each other. And then their "matchmaking" will match like in corrupted: 500k infame with 9M infame.
There is not simple solution. Make a mess with 8-0 + 4.1 matches and people will complain about quality, Make rare but proper matches and they will complain about quantity. Reduce content zones and they will complain about lack of content.
But now with that 1100, 1200 hard cup they just killed content for a lot of players

Devs can't please everyone. They're trying to find the sweet spot that will please most people.

1200 cap in Cd is currently working very well. The problem is clearing the dungeon to 1k8 infamy then activating the shrine. Most people on the leader board do that, that's why they don't meet each other but meet opponent much weaker / less experienced than them. Just need to fix that and it'll work out just fine.

You said that you're ok with waiting 20 minutes queuing for a good match, then just considered those budget flat 6 you're matched against as mobs and farm them (or break shards if they run in circle), then re activate the shrine at the next dungeon. It usually takes less than 20 minutes doing so.
