      Hi everyone,

Have we got a surprise in store for you!

First things first: join our upcoming Faction Warfare Playtest, which we’re hosting as part of our update preparations and to gather feedback on the Faction Warfare rework (check out our latest Dev Talk on this feature here).

      HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
      • On Friday, February 26th at 18:30 UTC, log into the Test Server (Staging) to begin the playtest
      • Choose whether you would like to fight for Martlock or Bridgewatch faction by heading over to the respective Faction Warmaster and enlisting in that faction (note: your character(s) from the Live Server will be available on the Staging Server, so you are able to use the skills and items you have. There will not be cheat stones to unlock the Destiny Board or create free items)
      • Open up the World Map and select Faction Warfare in the dropdown menu
      • See where the action is taking place and join in or try to capture the outposts! (note: any Faction Warfare zone is open to play, but please only flag as either Martlock or Bridgewatch)
      • If you need to repair your gear, there is a repair station at each outpost
      • Continue this process for 2 hours until the playtest ends at 20:30 UTC
Please make sure to update your Staging client in advance, so you can jump right in at the start of the playtest.

After the playtest, we will hand out a feedback form to those who participated via the in-game chat, so that we can gather your thoughts on how this feature played out for you.

      FAQ

      What is the Test Server?
The Test Server is there to primarily test new content. That also means that the available version can be unstable.

How can I access the Test Server?
The Staging Server can be accessed via the launcher. Once you launch the game, navigate to Server selection and choose "Test Server (Staging)" in the drop-down menu.

To access the Test Server from your android device, download the .apk here

Help! I am not receiving my device verification code!

    • Hasn't it been said that it would be Fort Sterling and Thetford? ^^' This is kind of contradictory and confusing...

(note: any Faction Warfare zone is open to play, but please only flag as either Thetford or Fort Sterling)

Why this terribile decision to not have the crafting/skill stones? Richer people have more sets to throw away

But if you can get on the test server before the stones are removed, then you can craft yourself plenty 8o

On a serious note, I guess the playtest will be more accurate with players only using what they can on live?

This is exactly why; ultimately this is a test and we want to mimic the live environment as much as possible. That environment will not consist of 100% T8.3 with full destiny board unlocks. We may add a free T4 station at some point during the test if people are running out of equipment, but regrettably even T4 stations result in free T4.3 (T7) equipment, so we can't guarantee this will happen and will be very reluctant to do so.

You're still able to go there and even conquer these areas, but they will not be counted for the score. :)

Thank you for kind reply, I see what you mean, but t7 is pretty accessible these days, you wouldnt want to give players 4.3 weapons because most skills are missing on them, just a heads up in case... I think armor doesnt have all passive slots unlocked either for some lower tier.
Of course it's two opinions so neither is wrong or right... but I think ultimately it will penalise a lot of players and benefit fewer.
    • Fix battlemounts Half of arch wants these in game to be useful we don't ever use battlemounts for nothing they need to be more useful in game to use them more. This needs to allow battlemounts in the faction fights!!!!
      Reasons this needs fixed
      1. We don't use battlemounts for almost nothing.
      2. It will make them more useful ingame.
      3. They will be not only for zvz's they will be for almost the entire game content if they get re-added to faction fights.
      4. There is plenty in the game to be used and enjoy fights this should change the out come if your a small zerg or a big zerg.
      5. If all the other battlemounts are useable command mammoths should be too.
    • Hi everyone,

its really hard to estimate how many people will be responding to playtests like this- we were far more successful than anticipated in mobilizing the Albion playerbase. Thank you for that! We've already collected lots of interesting technical data that helps us fix bugs before a release. We're also considering running another test once those issues have been adressed, and we'll be sure to boost up the test servers even further to allow for more players if we do.
