Could the new Faction update destroy Red Flagged Ganking ? [With Suggestions]

    • I honestly think they haven't done a dungeon in forever, and they don't realize how much time they are stealing from the average player.

      You average around 2M/hr from T8 dungeons. Might have changed since the BM nerf. If you factor in fame respec/satchel. They break even give or take 10%. If they steal that loot, you not only lose the silver from fame farm but the hours of work you grinded. Once again, they're swine and only benefit SBI (gold Micro transactions) and themselves.

The current ganking system does massively reward the most despicable, sociopathic behavior. Im sure that the game population would have been 2-3 times larger if the devs would have restricted those people at time.
      Moreover the current ganking system is by no means oriented on a risk vs reward balance. In every other pvp activity the players have to risk something to get something. Gatherers and transporters risk their wealth and the results of the time they spend skilling up. CD'ers HG'ers and other PVPers bring their gear to get other teams gear. But what does a ganker risk? Some substandard gear and nothing more. The possible reward on the other hand is in not realtion to the stake and thats a problem. Materials that other skilled players have spend their time on gathering or even oxes or more expensive transport mounts with tons of expensive stuff from traders. The relation of risk vs reward for ganking is completely broken.

      So i say again that albion needs much harsher punishment on ganker and / or improved ganking mechanics to balance the RvR. For exmple:
      - Make gankers have to deposit some amount of money in the city in order to flag up. If the gankers make it back to the city they can keep what they got. But if they get killed by blue players, those blue players will claim the deposit that gankers had to make.
      - Let the victims of ganking invade the islands belonging to ip of the ganker and seize the market sell and buy order of the ganker, his / her alts and other persons they had contact to.
      - Or disable the redflagging at all and implement faction transport mission where faction players have to supply good to faction npc's for faction rewards. Gankers would be free to gank here by simply joining a faction, but in opposite to the current system they would have to actualy fight and risk something for the loot.

      Uh.. Look at your movement speed... You are on a mammoth overloaded... if you get dismounted you cannot move... It doesn't matter how much a mammoth costs or what loot you are carying.. If you are flying solo on a mammoth you are a walking target and completely dumb for not taking an escort or hiring one. Nothing is hard for me to understand, I clearly see the point that you are making where you want to be able to have Blue zone 100% from gank runs to make your profit... This is not how this game works... Deal with it or work around it as I have posted several times before.

      Ive played this game for years bud... If you have spent 6 months in red zone.. you are more than ready to venture into the black zone. If you have only seen 1... you are not looking or not on roads / transport routes. Yes a single ganker would shy away but you get 3-5 gankers Its easy.. You want to know why????? Because people are too scared to fight in a pvp game.. They either don't know how because all they do is gather and craft or they just want to be left alone. This is not how this game works but sadly the players grief themselves in this aspect.

      Ive watched HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of people die to Double bladed gankers... yet if they actually fought from the second they got dismounted the ganker would 1. Run or 2. Die. Have some balls, after all this is all digital content and a GAME.

      The ganking system is not a relic of the past, this whole game revolved around PVP and that includes ganking because its part of the game. The game doesn't reward people who are ganking.. It trashes gear... YOU the players who are doing STUPID GREEDY stuff are rewarding the gankers. The Devs would not restrict ganking if the population was 2-3 times larger.       Moreover The current ganking system, Your risk is your gear, you reward is killing players and getting thier gear, your risk is getting that gear back out of Red zone without dieing to a mass of blues. In every other PVP activity it is exactly the same situation, if you feel its different you have not experienced them game and or pvp, zvz, 1v1 1v2, 1v3, 20v1 and any other pvp content.

      Yes Gatherers risk their wealth and what they have gathered... Running around on Bears and Mammoths with 20-100m+ SOLO and a lot of times NAKED. You can't move when you are dismounted... Where is your brain at? Where is your escort? Why are you taking 1 trip with all your wealth instead of 10 trips so you only risk 10% at a time?? Hey guys lets dump 100% of our 401k or IRA into GME when its at $750 a share and then complain 10 minutes later when its at $2. BUT the big bad wolf took all my money!!!

      This game was not designed around solo content, gatherers and transports have guards.. You don't want to die to what you describe as a small group of t4 shitters in claws.... Hire or make friends with a few pvp players who can help escort you for free or some silver for their time. The risk vs reward is not broken.. You are risking EVERYTHING which gives your REWARD value very high, if you die to t4 shitters in claws you are the problem not the t4 players.

      There's a difference between agreed upon pvp and rat pvp. Red-zone ganking is fly's literally surrounding you. Theres no skill. If you want pvp like a man, CDs, HG, ZVZ. Other than that you're just another shit fly being a nuisance.

This isn't real life , no one is going to jail cause they mugged you.. But unlike real life you can protect yourself with weapons and Fight back or kill the person.. People who enjoy the savage nature of unrestricted full loot open world pvp are a niche and this game overall if it caters to those kinds of people will probably not be anywhere near as popular as it would be if it caters to the care bears. SBI has to cater to the soft cry babies because there's way more of them than not.

      You didn't engage his points Tho . If the people who enjoy the savage nature of the game are a niche then do you blame SBI for not catering primarily to this tiny niche?

      If they cater only to the tiny niche will there be any fish willing to keep swimming in the fishing hole? SBI has to maintain a balance. Give the masses enough safety to feel that going out to zones where you can gank them is worth it. Without that safety nobody will play the game. And while a lot of you will see that as a great thing (since people love to chase pveers off to other frames like WOW), I wonder how the game will feel if only that tiny niche remains. You'd be starved for content.

      Yes bud, All the PVE and carebear people who love their pixels too much.... All their crying has changed the game. Yes the game was way BETTER for ganking and small scale pvp before queen but there was also less population because people didn't go out.. they loved their silver.

      Now a days we have the same thing but on a larger scale.. People want massive security.. Ganking in 20 man groups , faction flagging in large blobs rotating outposts for points with almost no fights. They game has become a PVE / Large scale Unwanted PVP fest.

      Yes albion you can call it a "Sandbox" But it has become less and less sandbox and more and more Crafting / Gathering / Island Maintaining / Points Gathering Carebear fest. The fact that you don't even see or realize what I am stating here means you are part of the problem.

      Albion would be AMAZING if people would stop treating their silver like its CASH in their wallet. Go out have fun in small scale, or go out in large ZVZ fights in black zone for territory. Learn how to pvp , learn how to play the game and stop rolling around in 20 man groups.. It only makes you SUCK more.

      Great! They are facing the risk so they deserve it.

      My only problem with gank was the lack of risk, blue newbies will never be a threat, gank was just too easy, but now the red zone is finally balanced.

      The only ones crying are bad players that rely on numbers to win, good players will adapt and succeed. ;)

      What you just wrote doesn't make sense. When you ganked with 5 on the previous royals, you got flooded by 20.
