Duel scam using similar names

Player with name Sln30 is a new player (maybe an alt) that claims if you duel him you get silver.
Other player Sin30 is a high tier player that duels you for large amount of silver.

First instinct is that Sln30 is dueling you as you can't see the name clearly.
I would make duel notification more descriptive and clear about player that duels you!

btw. i got scammed

I thought that by default you could see your enemy's gear, but you cant.

There is a little toggle switch at the top of the duel invitation window. Clicking it will show your opponents gear, so you can make an informed judgement on whether to accept the duel or not.

At this point it isn't ignorance but your capacity to read which means the person would be affected too by the player being push from yellow to red zones because they clicked always when going instead of reading and understanding the meaning of what it "means" to chose that option.
People just need to learn to take the time to read and it's an ez fix to this.

I disagree with this. Like all "Scams" of this nature, the angle is they rely on any potential obscurity in displayed information (gear is not shown by default) as well as uninformed users (usually new players).
It is ignorance of the fact that perhaps the option to read the gear even exists. I'm assuming the comment about there being a tab to see gear is true. Personally, I've never seen it! I have dueled more than 20 times and am also a newer player. I too was in fort sterling when someone tried to pull this on me. Fortunately, I abide by "if it's too good to be true it probably is" and when they declined my duel and I received a new one, I immediately spotted the name change.

The fault is with the person pulling the scam. Sure people live and learn but that doesn't make it ok to pull these stunts which effectively ruin the playing experience for newer players. It's toxic gameplay and petty, to say the least. There are a plethora of ways to make money in this game that doesn't involve taking advantage of player's ignorance.

You'd be hard-pressed to find any Development studio or ToS that agrees with you there.

Albion is not like those games, its more like Eve in regards to lawlessness allowed from the powers above, your argument is mute.

OP was greedy af and wanted easy silver, blinded by the light he accepted the duel while already thinking on what he was gonna spend it on, get rekt by greed, nothing is free, especially in a game where silver is essentially worth dollars. Gold/Silver/Monthly price.
