They were doing pretty good under davidson, cendant, and Vivendi, then activision came(and they actually got involved and ruined it :)) -

Nothing gonna change because they don't need change anything to have profit, the profit mechanic is already inside the game.
Also there is nothing we can do about it, so deal with it, If things go bad you can always play other games.

As long as albion does not have any way to buy extra hp or greater combat power or special gear then albion will remain being a great game. As of right now premium only makes gathering a little faster and helps you farm better. Albion will become P2W if you can pay to get a huge combat bonus over non payers.

Paying doesnt gives you advantages in combat, it just helps you to progress faster and is not that bad, if you dedicate to farm in a short time you can get premium -
Also premium can be bought with both silver or real money is super cool. With that aspect in mind it pushes albion even further away from p2w. After gathering for a while you can easily buy premium with in game silver.
