Could not verify identity of the update site

After few minutes updating, the client shows "Error: could not verify identity of the update site. Please go to albiononline.com and download a fresh installer."
I've tried many methods, which are:
1) Reinstall
2) Repair
3) Enable firewall

The only method that works is using patched client, which will be annoying in the future, as I need to download it every time there is an update.

Yo i've actually exactly the same probleme and i can't play the game since 2 month ... I'm getting sad days after days ...

Hey there,

Since you are experiencing some issues with the launcher updating automatically, could you please provide:

launcher.log (open the launcher, go to Settings, click on Launcher Logs. The text file "launcher.log" in there is the one we need)
Dxdiag file: In Windows, select Start and enter dxdiag into the search box on the taskbar. Select dxdiag from the results. In the tool, select Save All Information
screenshot of nslookup: In Windows, select Start and open the Command Prompt. Type in "nslookup -q=TXT dns-debug.d.gcdn.co" and let that run until it says it's done
screenshot of traceroute: In Windows, select Start and open the Command Prompt. Type in "tracert d.gcdn.co" and let that run until it says it's done

we release Patch 9 yesterday, so you'd need to download the new .zip file from Known technical issues and workarounds

Wdym patching client? I cannot start game at all from workplace, same issue as you're having.

Hey, thanks for sending in the requested info on Discord. As discussed, you can download a client that already has the latest patch applied to it from this post: Known technical issues and workarounds

Please remember that this only works until we release the next patch, so you'd have to download it again if the auto update issues are not fixed by then.
