      Rise of Avalon Patch 7

Corrupted Dungeons: New Boss, Enemies, and Traps

To improve the depth and variety of Corrupted Dungeon gameplay, new enemies and traps have been added and behavior of existing mobs and traps has been updated.

      New boss:
      • Demonic Harbinger: Exceptionally powerful and wrathful demon general; wields a massive sword that inflicts heavy bash, slash, and shockwave damage
      New enemies:
      • Hellhound: A relatively weak enemy, but can call other Hellhounds to help fight
      • Demonic Mauler: A demon with strong regenerative powers that can even consume its allies to heal itself
      • Demonic Predator: Variant of the Spiked Demon that jumps at enemies and slows them down
      • Deranged Heretic Arbalist: A new Corrupted Heretic fighter that wields dual crossbows
      New traps:
      • Abyssal Impaler: A nasty spike trap that completely ignores armor
      • Infernal Breach: A crack in the ground that releases waves of molten magma
      Corrupted Dungeon Changes
      • Demonic Shards:
        • Shard health doubled on Slayer difficulty
      • Demonic Warlock Boss:
        • Rupture Firewalls now inflict slow instead of knockback
        • Phase change now is more diverse and teleport circle is smaller
      • Demon Lord Miniboss:
        • Rage bonus damage 100% → 75%
        • Invincibility removed during Rage cast
      • Silence Hazard:
        • Effect area now starts out small and grows over time
        • Outer ring has been removed; purple cloud now indicates affected area
      • Knockback Hazard:
        • Area duration 0.7 → 0.2
        • Now grant the player Infamy and Fame for any mobs killed
      • Heretic Thief:
        • "Fan of Knives" spell behavior improved when cast next to a wall
      • Demonic Slaver:
        • Mob size slightly increased
      Smart Cluster Queue Changes

The following changes are intended to give players more control over how they set up their armies for the Smart Cluster Queue. Player sorting in the queue is now done on a per-party level, meaning the system will attempt to keep existing parties together, as follows:
      • Party leaders can now assign a Party Cluster Access Priority for their party as well as for individual members in the Cluster Access Priority UI (via the party leader's player context menu)
      • Priority Access determines the order in which parties will enter an overcrowded cluster
      • This gives alliances much more control over which fighting forces are moved into the cluster and keeps their party structures intact
      • The Preferred Cluster Access Guild Right has been removed
      • The queue now moves players from one contingent either in or out during a given cycle, meaning players of the same contingent will no longer replace each other
      Disarray (Zerg Debuff) Changes

The new Disarray parameters ensure the ZvZ meta plays out in a similar way across a wide range of fight sizes, while still providing smaller groups with the same protection from large armies:
      • Disarray is no longer a flat debuff
      • Instead, it reduces your damage output and CC Duration whenever you attack a target with a lower Disarray level
      • Attacking someone with the same or higher Disarray level has no impact
      • The damage reduction depends on the difference of Disarray levels between attacker and target - the higher the difference, the greater the effect
      • Removed the Disarray hard cap of 150 players; debuff now caps at Level 50 for 450 players
New Fish and Increased Fishing Opportunities in Roads of Avalon
      • Fishable areas can now be found in every Roads of Avalon zone
      • Three new fish species exclusive to the Roads of Avalon have been introduced:
        • Whitefog Snapper (T3)
        • Clearhaze Snapper (T5)
        • Puremist Snapper (T7)
      • These fish can be turned into Chopped Fish as normal, or used in new cooking recipes (see next section)
      New Food Line: Roasts
      • Raw Chicken, Goose, and Pork can now be roasted to create three new foods: Roast Chicken (T3), Roast Goose (T5), and Roast Pork (T7)
        • These three foods give Lifesteal that increases with tier and enchantment level
        • These recipes require the base meat + milk + crop
      • The new fish species listed above can also be roasted to create Roasted Whitefog Snapper (T3), Roasted Clearhaze Snapper (T5), and Roasted Puremist Snapper (T7)
        • These three foods give Lifesteal and Increased Max Health that increase with tier and enchantment level
        • These recipes require the base fish + crop + herb + milk
      • Corresponding Destiny Board nodes have been added and updated as follows:
        • T3 roasts are available to create with the unlock of the Sous Chef Destiny Board node
        • Higher-level roasts are unlocked by progressing in the Chef Destiny Board node
        • A new specialization node, Roast Chef, has been added to the Chef Destiny Board node
      • Like all other foods, roasts can be enchanted with Fish Sauce
      New Hardcore Expedition Levels Added
      • Added 3 additional levels of Hardcore Expeditions on top of the current 15
      • The difficulty of each of these levels (16-18) is approximately 5% higher than the preceding level, with rewards scaled accordingly
      • Finishing a Level 18 Expedition in time rewards a valuable Loot Chest instead of a new Expedition Map
      Visual Minimap Rework

Minimaps for selected zone types have been updated to improve visual quality and readability, and to look and feel more consistent with the overall game aesthetic. Affected zones:
      • All city minimaps, including Royal Cities, Outlands Cities, and Starter Towns
      • Player Islands
      • Guild Islands
      • City Banks
      • City Marketplaces
      Crafting Change: Item Quality Preserved
      • Faction Capes and Royal Armors now retain the quality of the Cape and Armor used to create them
      • As Faction Capes do not benefit from or contribute to Cape Tailoring Specialization, Fame gain was removed from this crafting process to keep it in line with other conversion processes such as Royal Armors
      • Increased crafting focus cost of bread to be in line with the nutritional return of other crafting processes.
      Crafting Change: Butchery Focus
      • Farm animals can now be butchered with focus to get more meat. (You don't get your animal back. It's dead. There's no coming back from that.)
      • As part of this change, the nutritional value of meat has been adjusted to better reflect the overall crafting progression.
      Updated Mob Spells
      • Added unique spells for each Resource Mob type in the Roads of Avalon:
        • Cougar: pounces at the target's position
        • Forest Spirit: deploys a line of three piercing roots
        • Rock Elemental: summons a rock wall
        • Ore Elemental: summons a triangle of 3 exploding crystals
        • Dryad: summons a poisonous cloud
      • Avalonian Wizard spell updates:
        • Avalonian Wizard's bomb now gives more warning time to leave its damage area
        • Bomb damage reduced by 20%
        • Pause after casting a bomb increased from 5 to 7 seconds
      Improvements
      • An integrated IME keyboard input system (generally affecting the input of non-Western languages) has been added to the game
        • This option can be turned on and off in Settings
        • Using the game's native IME input (versus a Windows overlay) solves input issues that existed for certain screen resolutions
      • Added a per-language profanity filter that can be turned on / off via Settings
      • Updated spell icons for the following E-slot spells:
        • Double-Bladed Staff - Crescent Smash
        • Black Monk Staff - Fatal Blade
        • Incubus Mace - Shrinking Curse
        • Cursed Skull - Haunting Screams
        • Damnation Staff - Cataclysm
        • Infernal Staff - Contagious Fire
        • Wildfire Staff - Magma Sphere
        • Great Holy Staff - Holy Explosion
      Satchel of Insight Changes
      • Crafting Satchels of Insight now only requires a single Tome of Insight instead of any kind of Randomized Dungeon Map
      • This change also reverts a prior change that increased drop rates of flat Tier 4 Randomized Dungeon Maps
      Other Changes
      • The gathering speed penalty when gathering with a tool one tier lower than that of the resource has been reduced by half, meaning gathering resources one tier above that of the tool will now be faster
      Combat Balance Changes

For the current list of intended balance changes for this patch, please see the NDA Balance Playtests forum thread here: forum.albiononline.com/index.p…ostID=1068985#post1068985

      Fixes
      • Corrected a terrain issue in Timberslope Dell (NOTE: players in this zone when the patch is deployed will be moved to the nearest exit)
      • Crafting slider now accurately shows the correct number of craftable items (e.g. in units of 5 for Healing Potions) and the input box now corrects invalid values
      • Numerous additional smaller graphical, animation, terrain, audio, UI, and localization fixes
    • Hi Albion Dev Team,
many many many HCE Players are VERY unhappy with the upcoming changes to it.
not the new levels necessarily but more the fact that one will loose the map after completing a level 18 map.
This will be the end of long HCE sessions. Maps will skyrocket in price because it will be much harder to get them.
It also will be the end of speedruns pretty much because one wont get another map to try if the run of the previous map wasnt fast enough to set a new records and it so will take away the only competitive side HCE ever had.
Also, why a goddamg Loot Chest? If someone wants to make money doin HCE they just turn off auto respec.
So why introduce a Loot Chest and ruin the experience for everybode?
Please SBI removed the Loot Chest and give us players the opportunity to spam difficult PVE content again.
      Best Regards,

          Is gonna be huge!

    • Great to see the changes and more love for corrupted dungeons! (I personally don't use them, but I'm sure lots of solo players are happy to have them)

I would love to to see some buffs for specific weapons which are underutilized by pushing their strengths.

      Specifically:

Heavy Crossbow - Change the interruption into a non-cleansable silence
Spears - Give an AoE Q spell (maybe something similiar to Avalonian Spearman Heroic Might?)
Great Arcane - Change Player Invulnerability to % Damage Reduction that scales with IP. (EX: 700 IP = 90% Damage Reduction, 1800 IP = 20% Damage Reduction)
Arcane Staff - Remove Purge, Increase Silence Duration
Bloodletter - Make damage depend on Assassin Spirit Stacks (too abusable right now)
Hood of Tenacity - Remove cast animation
Jacket of Tenacity - Make it non-targetable effect with a simple Defense %, and Damage %.
Knight/Guardian Helmet - Increase allies affected to 10 (so it's in line with other weapons such as Fallen Staff, Wild Staff, etc)
Royal Armor - Toggle: While enabled, drain mana and share your % Damage Reduction (from effects like shield, not armor/magic resist) with all nearby allies.
Armor of Valor - Make it AoE, and lower the damage/silence duration
Whispering Bow - Deal an additional 1% Max Health as True Damage per auto attack
Fire Staffs - Buff AoE Q for PVE
Staff of Balance - Increase Slow and Healing Reduction to 60%
Sacred Scepter - Instead of granting CC resistance, grants % Lifesteal on damage
