imo, this game is WAY TOO GRINDY

    • 400/400 or 1600/1600 can be done in a month of casual (in hours) but efficient fame farm.

Find a knowledgeable group/guild that frequently run fame farm groups and join at times that suit you. If you FF 3-4hrs a day for a month you can max out an entire weapon line easy. to some that may seem grindy, but any faster and it will ruin the game for most hardcore players.

I don't think everyone can do that...

I'd say premium is important for that and learning points as well. I played without premium for the first month and now I get a lot more fame with premium. I suppose the efficient fame farm you mention is not on royals, which a lot have no other option, or can only do T5-T6 on the black zone
    • Premium is important I'd agree, but you can do all this w/o the use of fame credits or learning points.

within 1 month you can obtain over 150m raw PVE fame, the game is currently easy mode for maxing out mastery/specialisation.

P.S with 4hrs of fame farm you can comfortably make 6m PVE a day, 42m a week, 168m a month. If you did 4hrs of fame farm a day for a month. when grinding hard you could potentially reach 200m in a month.

I know the game is on easy mode compared to Beta and Release, I returned a month ago and made a lot more fame on the first week of play than I made on the first month of release. Granted all I did on release was gathering since I was an assigned gatherer for my guild and wasn't really allowed to do anything else for the first weeks-months.

I find it hard to find a PvE group, and most PvE groups aren't that good. My guild is also not interested in FF so I'm mostly relegated to solo dungeons. With a lot of play (4-6 hours) I'm making about 1m-1.5m fame. I'm not complaining about how slow or how fast it is, as I know it was way harder on betas and release, I'm just looking for better ways to farm and now I know I'm not being that efficient.

Lol, speccing is easy af, you just go to the market, buy tomes, eat them, and here you go, 1600/1600.
To master a weapon type you need 1475 tomes which cost ~44.250 k. That's 44m, let alone 400/400

It's actually closer to 100m for non artifact, and I think about 300m for artifact, assuming you don't use fame credits, only pure fame from tomes.

But what does it matter? Silver is so fucking easy to make n this game, it's still better to just build up your economy and then get fame from tomes, than mindlessly grind PvE for months.

I'm playing Albion for ~4 months, by now I have nearly 400 labourers, and 6 maxed craftin alts, and I earn about 12-15mln/day from them, managing this operation takes me about ~30 minutes every day. It's that simple.

Instead of running dungeons like a moron for months, every time you want to specc up new weapon, just spend a month or two building up your econ, then you're set for life, and can log in purely to pvp, without ever worrying about gear or specs again.

Or just play hellgates, actually enjoyable content + best fame/hour in the game.

100mil fame credits/200mil fame. By 1475 tomes? Can i see your sweet calculation of that?
I said weapon type, not weapon spec.

I can't make that much silver. Don't know how much you spent on getting all those laborers and all those alts, but I don't think I can get my economy running like that anytime soon with my measly 1m.

I've actually been trying to get into hellgates and fame farmed daggers for that purpose, but no one on my guild wants to do them... Party finder is also empty. I guess I'm relegated to play hellgates solo and die a lot.

Also, I'm not the one that complained about the game. I'm just trying to improve the way I play.
    • I play something i like to level the things i hate to level.

For example I play GREATaxe so i can respec later for arcane, holy and so on. Because solo leveling or with randoms is not fun with these kind of things.

And in the time im doing it, I can make some silver for PVP activities later.

I played with one char almost 100h and have almost maxed my Axe Mastery and have like 60/100 Greataxe Mastery.

The only pain were the beginning and the PVP parts.

Adapt to your problems and overcome them.

If Blackzone is not worth it. Go to yellow. Until you can give a shit about losing silver.

And Guilds are important if you want to do big PVP stuff and end game PVE. Also for Group Dungeons and Small PVP can they be helpful. If you get the right Guild of course. An inactive Guild is like no guild with taxes.
      T8 Greataxe Main
      T6 Mace Tank
    • Don't play it then, this game is not for you. Go play overwatch or fortnight if you don't like grind. The problem is not the game nor the grind, the problem is your instant gratification attitude.

The reason grind exists, is because if getting to max level was fast, there would be no further reward and therefore remove the desire to keep playing.

The grind in this game isn't even that bad, hell even getting to max level in Diablo 2 without a bot, was not realistic for most players to reach in one season and that game is still fun to play. Why does D3 get boring fast? Because you get to max power level within two weeks and there's nothing left to achieve.

it was said that the problem is instant gratification attitude and people not liking grind; so is the grind in this game absolutely monumentally boring as fuck. My point is that the devs decide what they want the game to be.

It's only boring if you stay in the yellow zone. Maybe this game is just not for you, maybe you should try Black Desert Online, I hear that game is not grindy at all.
