    • If you play the Blackzone daily, the issue and the solution is so obvious

If you ride through blackzone, you see the issue.

Portals camped, T8 some contacts lower black, empty.

Reason: nobody is interested at ALL in live in T5/T6 zones, especially not the ones that own it.

Why are these then conquered? well, these give rewards for just own it, and if you can, you simply own it.
If you need to work, that these give rewards after controlling it, and if not no reward, well, then the story might look different.

Imagine: T5 BZ is owned by e.g. Black order, but nobody is in there. The players that might go there, have ZERO incentive to go deep black for a T5 zone to SRD or gather there, because it is not worth the risk to pass portals etc..
The Mega has no reason to live there, they control T8 zones, so ..this is just a placeholder for nobody except it creates income for just owning.

Now i do not that often Agree with @Korn, here he is bloody right: It must be uninteresting to own these, and even worse, it must be a disadvantage to own these, if you don't life there...

Imagine you own a nice peace of area in a town, but you just let it create income by getting more worth by time...the goverment says..my friend..you pay tax for this..

What would be the translation of all this to albion:

Very simple implementation and then it would (probably) fly:

Any area u own, has a seperate Area challenge. Like the guild and player challenge, it has an AREA challenge, means you complete your player daily challenge there and complete the AREA challenge. you see it on the map which areas have not completed challenges..

If an Area did not complete it's area challenge, means there was not enough gathering and SRD done, this area creates on this day negative season points and the mages need more energy to control it...

So by this ..if you not live there and just own it, you actually LOOSE season points energy etc...by this you make the people that want life there life there and stop monopolism

And if you think that is my idea, no, sorry, this is from another full loot survival mmo that i am playing ..which works pretty well there..

    • Hmm this would make sense. One of the current odd pieces of game mechanics is you just simply need to conquer or hold the territory once every 24 hours to receive the season point benefit. Needing to actually play in that zone to maximize the benefit would be a great add. To many zones are just completely dead right now.

owning terries u not use would finally be negative to winning season - this would solve all mega domination issues ..on top the..just log for ZvZ and play something else in between...and divers have content..and bz would live

Because u would see in the status bar of the area

      That activities need to happen..
    • SBI could make the energy/season point modifier for level 1 tower be 0 such that an unleveled tower gives no reward and still counts towards the 10 territory soft cap.

Then they could add an alternative means of leveling towers (in addition to the crystal league) such as using guild challenge points generated in the same zone as the territory.
