Debuff and guilds/alliances cheating the system

      POE Is the master on manipulating the game. The Debuff was put In place to level the playing field. What you didn't count on was guilds and alliances gamming the system to there advantage. Our alliance had a fight for a territory yesterday. Hightree Lake at 03:00 UTC. We had a 30% Debuff as the defender. What POE has done Is to break up the big alliance into smaller alliances or just guilds. Each of those has the ability to hold 10 territories without worry of having to pay. So these guilds attack Hightree Lake with a 0% Debuff but all working In unison for a common goal and "Alliance".We were attacked from 4 sides for a total of 273 players. We also had reinforcements that were locked out of the zone or In dungeons that could not help because they brought so many people and the disarray buff kicked In. I don't have an idea of what the fix might be but you need to come up with something and fast. Now that they know how to cheat the game they are launching on everything. It wont be long before they own all the territories In our area. My personal opinion Is that this Is Bug Abuse and needs to be dealt with accordingly. Ban of Suspend all players/guilds involved In such actions and return the territory to the original owner.

    • Simple solution to this would be to lock zones to only the attacking and defending alliances for the 15min vulnerable timer of territory fights. This would force alliances to either stay together and incur the debuff, or have to launch attack from each guild/alliance making the longterm costs much higher for them therefore removing all profit from actually having the territory
    • If they removed debuff groups would need to choose either:

      10 territory limit and the ability to fight as an alliance

      OR

      more than 10 territories but not be able to fight as an alliance and deal with FF.


      As it stands now, with the debuff, if you DONT fight separately you are fucked by debuff and fucked by 10 terri limit... it's a no brainer to abuse it.

      Even calling it abuse feels silly. It's players rationally interacting with the game worlds mechanics. If people are mad, they should be mad at the mechanics and not the people who are just doing exactly what they should be.

      Everyone counted on this exact thing happening, because it is the natural outcome. Every single time people find an advantage by behaving in a certain way, they do it.

      Put the blame, if there is any, where it belongs. On Disarray and SBI, and stop blaming people who are doing the exact things that the mechanic was designed to make them do.

    • SBI did not have this In mind when they created the disarray. They were trying to level that playing field so that even small guilds or alliances might have a better chance at defending or attacking a territory. As usual players found a way around what they were trying to accomplish and perverted the whole concept and turned It into something that would benefit themselves. If Your exploiting something that was unintended then yes I would say that Is abuse.
    • If they didn't have it in mind, then its weird that they designed it to do exactly this. Literally dozens of people looked at the mechanic and were like "This is what will happen...", so saying that SBI didn't see it at all is stupid. It's not like it was some sneaky thing that squeaked through. They literally made a mechanic in which smaller groups had an advantage over larger ones.

      They are moving the numbers around again soon anyhow right? We should have a contest to guess when the next changes to disarray will arrive after that. Get some action going.

      I have some suggestions that could be useful for leveling the game for example:
      - Zerg debuff must be applied by a guild, even though it is part of an alliance.
      - Limit 3 to 5 guilds in an alliance.
      - Deduff of quatity of territories applied by guild regardless of whether or not they are in an alliance.
      - Only the guild that has the territory can store items, make crystal gvg, earn collection buffs, crafting and etc, with that the only benefit of the alliance is non-aggression.
    • Well, you can twist and bend however u wanna twist and bend that at the end of the day, the decision is

      Either you want fair fights

      Or

      You want open world

      I know a game that advertised in it's beginnings that territory control is done in fair fights, and they had GvGs. 5 players competed vs 5..

      I mean, this could have been increased like..on 5on5 no mercenary and ipcap depending on how many terries you own..

      Like ..if you have 10 terries, by each terrie more u IP is IP -25, stagging whatever

      Now we sit here and are at the beginning..of the circle..

      buddy u crying but the top 10 guilds like 8 of them were in the same alliance; also POE has to do this stuff cause they fight the alliances where CIR can't fight vs blue army + conflict + black order or w/e + with each being a top tier guild and having same amount of money; so essentially you get screwed by POE cause POE is mustering stuff to fight alliances that are very rich and u get steamrolled because of it...
