Season 8 starts on Saturday, February 1, and with the Queen update, territory control is now decided via open-world fights. We've created a handy guide to explain how to launch an attack, claim an enemy territory or defend your own territory: albiononline.com/en/news/brief-guide-to-territory-claiming
Is the link broken? It's only taking me to the homepage of Albion Online.
Thanks for the info! This looks great. Can you talk a bit about defender's advantage when a fight is going to happen for sure? Does this really just come down to the guards? Related, I know guards become stronger with tower upgrades. Has this been quantified anywhere yet? Thanks again.
You can check zone quality multipliers here - they range from 1-6x the base amount of points, and are calculatable by dividing the daily season points by 40: forum.albiononline.com/index.p…tory-Season-Point-Values/
Territory tower level multipliers range from 1.1 to 2, and can be found in the same post.
Who in their right mind decided that this was a great idea to judge whom should hold territories and ultimately the control over hideouts?
If you can't win against them during territorial fights, you damn well won't be able to stop them demolishing your hideout.
Honestly, it feels like the dev's just sat down with Blue Army and other ZvZ Powerhouse and asked them what they could do for them to make it so they could get their "revenge" on GvG based guilds.
Not to mention this line
>A territory can be attacked by multiple guilds at once.
>Any player can enter the cluster or cluster queue and take part in the fight.
Not only did you make alliance like the one Blue army is part of that much stronger, but you are effectively saying, oh, and if you really want to just pound someone into the ground, then anyone and everyone can join the massacre.
This is the worst Territory claim system i've ever seen in any game and it encourages one thing and one thing only, mass numbers.
And don't even get me started on your debuff bullshit, that thing does nothing.
