Error 99 in launcher

Hello,

When I try and launch Albion I get the following message after a few minutes:
Error: Albion error cannot download Error 99

Hey there,

did you try the Repairing or Reinstalling Options in the Settings Menu of the Launcher yet?

If I run it not through the launcher, it throws it out of the game because the anti-cheat is not running, why then it does not start through the launcher ???

hmm have you tried running the game in admin mode? It may be having permission problems in writing in the temp folder. Also try repairing your anti-cheat its a long shot but might work, Go to settings on the launcher then open game folder look for easyanti-cheat folder then open that in that file there is a easyanticheat.exe file run that then hit repair/re-install but make sure albion online is selected. Also maybe dump your temp folder as that is the file its trying to work in.

Have you tried updating windows? Also have you totally uninstalled the game and reinstalled it? Maybe when you reinstall it try a different folder to install it to. Are you using a Solid state drive? (SS) or a (HD) Hard drive? My guess is a HD because of the low specs but I really recommend getting an SSD game runs 200% better on a SSD over a HD.

EDIT: Also try resetting your Router because in the error message its almost like your not connecting to the albion server to download the missing or updated file, Sometimes a router reset can help clear things up, Also try restarting your PC(If you haven't already. I had this happen to me one time and Im trying to remember what I did to fix it, It was something with my router needing to be reset or having to reset my network adpator on the PC in network options. Sometimes a simple reset of everything works.
