    • Resource Distribution Changes in the New Outlands

With the introduction of the new Outlands in Queen we've rebalanced resource distribution to match the new design of the Outlands. We've also incorporated some last minute feedback you gave on the test environment to keep some of the "large" gathering nodes in the game.

      So what has changed?
      • What tiers of resources you can find in each zone based on the tier of the zone.
      • Respawn-times of resources in the Outlands have been rebalanced.
      • We have added new small nodes for Tier 7 and 8 which will not spawn fully charged but will take less time to respawn instead. (As previously, big nodes spawn with full charges.)
      • If the old version of the hide mob dropped a mount, the new one will drop one as well. Overall mount drop rates should remain approximately as they were previously.
      • Amount of Tier 7 nodes per zone has been increased.
      • Amount of Tier 8 nodes per zone has been drastically increased.
The resource of the same tier as the zone will always be most abundant. The lower the tier compared to the zone's tier, the lower its amount of nodes.
      • Tier 5 Zones will have resources of Tier 2, 3, 4 and 5.
      • Tier 6 Zones will have resources of Tier 4, 5 and 6.
      • Tier 7 Zones will have resources of Tier 5, 6 and 7.
      • Tier 8 Zones will have resources of Tier 7 and 8.

    • Just want to clarify. "If the old version of the hide mob dropped a mount, the new one will drop one as well. Overall mount drop rates should remain approximately as they were previously." Does this mean the chance of a pup drop % per mob has been lowered? but due to the vast quanity it averages to the same. or the drop % per mob remained the same

If the amount of mobs will be increased the only way to keep the amount of drops is lowering the % of getting them.

      Essentially this.
The 'small' version of those mobs will see a reduced chance for a drop whereas the 'big' versions can see an increase in drop chance because it takes them longer to re-spawn.

Could you explain the location changes of node spawns? @Thorn-Delwyn

I don't think it is publicly stated if resource nodes can change their location and if they do how that works exactly.

A zone has a certain amount of possible resource positions. Those can be seen on the maps offered by AlbionOnline2d.
Now a certain amount of those positions will be used for resource nodes based on the tier of the zone and some other parameters (e.g. royal or outlands).

This process of randomly distributing the resources over a zone happens every day at maintenance.

Also each re-distributed node will 'remember' its state before maintenance which includes the amount of charges left and time until re-spawn / charge-up.
    • Nice change with desert wolf... Maybe someday you'll consider changing boars and bears in swamps to kind of bigger snakes at T7 and alligators at T8? (imo would be more immersive)...

Resource node charges are still the same on the Test Server as they are on the live. ie; Tier VI nodes are 5/5 instead of 7/7
Thank you. You are correct. Those resources hasn't been touched still offer 5 charges.
So what was intended?... To keep them with 5 and there is mistake in info or 7 and it's not yet applied to game?...

5 charges for Tier 5 and 6 are intended.

I assumer nothing changes for fishing right?
      @Thorn-Delwyn
Could you please answer this question?

      Thanks in advance!

No changes to fishing had been made as far as I know.
    • Thanks for the quick reply.

Maybe you should take another look at fishing.

At Least a premium bonus like other gathering professions would be cool.

We all know that fishing is not and shouldn't be like the other gathering professions, but in my opinion fishing is neglected too much.

      Thanks again! :)

Just got 15 fishes in T6 BZ withouth nodes, 6 tier 4, 6 tier 5 and 3 tier 6. I think its gonna be harder to get T7 rares since we will have to go min T7.
Thought those changes doesn't affect fishing?

Before the queen patch it wasn't possible to catch t4 fish in a t6 bz only t6, t7 and t8 except for rare (t3, t5, and t7 possible in a t6 bz).

That would mean that the "bad" changes are applied to fishing too but the "good" ones not? @Thorn-Delwyn
