Good question. 5-7 hours...Emm sounds very bad , even if reward will be much higher.
So what is going to be.
1.In case of higher reward.
Instead of random 1v1 fights and smal scale fights every 1 hour - we will have much larger groups of players , that will be involved into fights. Which is automatically destroy one more solo content "generator" . But instead of this - it "might" generate more group fights, the main question - why? Do they afraid that there will be not enough group PvP content in new big world?
2.In case of the same low reward.
Such content would not be worth at all , which is killing solo content "generator" too. Because one fight per 5/7 hours.. cmon.
But i think it is kind of obvious and i don't think that Devs are stupid. What is going on? Can you explain your motivation please? Just curious.
I believe it's an attempt to cater towards a zerg vs zerg gameplay in the open world. Can't seem to find another reason. I might be wrong of course, but only our esteemed devs would know. 1H Relic chests were fun, RIP.
We solo players or small scale group players missed one of our main pvp content. Hope devs change their mind or have some plans to another similar activities. Casual players who don't have a lot of time to spend online also lose, considering that they will not always be available at the time of the current chests. I would like a devs explanation but...
