A fearsome new presence has appeared in the Outlands: the Avalonians. This ancient order from Albion's past has returned to reclaim their land, using a mysterious energy drawn from deep in the earth.

I'm really happy to see that you guys put something completely new in to the game.
Mixing it together with existing stuff such as food, gear.. and that mount???

I can see the open world prescence increasing with this. Amazing work!

Can't wait to see what's in store for Queen.

What about the season points requirement for earning gold rank & crystal rank? Is that going change given that this season is only 2 months?

Yes, the season point requirements are the same. Because while this season is shorter, there are also more season point sources. Which in total should create an even higher season point pool.
Keep in mind this is an escalating event and over the course of the event more things will be added. Some of these things might also reward season points.

Well not for SEA/OCE region, I just check the respawn time of the Avalonian mage, it would be 7am for my country, I guess we still got to wait till next season

The timer shows the next spawn of the boss. (like it is displayed for chests)

But every Avalonian world boss spawns at the following times:

0 UTC
12 UTC
20 UTC

So, players from all time zones should have a good option.

Really glad to see that there's new ways to score season points outside of mage raiding. It took what feels like forever, but more additional ways to stay engaged is never a bad thing. Looking forward to see what happens with this one-off season.
