    • [29.07.] Network Update? Network Update! [Updated 07.08]

      Hello everyone,

It has been a little while since our last update regarding our network infrastructure improvements, and I’m here to give you guys a status update.

For the past few weeks, we have been busy working with our current partners on improving the situation for the people suffering from disconnects and unstable connections. As this includes trying to fix problems that are outside our own area of influence, it is a slow and frustrating process for us, as well as for those still affected. As a band-aid fix, we have partnered with ExitLag to allow free use of their Software with Albion Online until August 15, providing a workaround for the disconnect issues.

This is of course only a temporary solution, and a permanent solution is still very much needed. As such, we have done a lot of work in the background to carry out a major overhaul of how the network infrastructure works with our servers.
We are nearly ready to move our servers to this new infrastructure, which is a critical part of our ongoing efforts to eliminate network problems players are suffering from. As the guild season kick-off is this Saturday, however, we have opted to wait until next week to deploy these changes. As this change will require an extended maintenance, an announcement of the exact day of that will follow.

[Update 07.08.2019]: We're planning on doing the announced move of the servers to the new network infrastructure on Monday, August 12. The expected duration for that maintenance is three hours.

Losing my insanity would mean I'm losing everything: the dreams where I can fly.

Thank god you choose that route. Cba with another lag fest reset day.

Hope the move fixes a lot of things we are experiencing right now.

    • I have a server at work that is actively corrupting the memory of devices that connect to it. I understand the frustration, especially working with outside partners who don't quite share your urgency for the situation at hand. Thanks for working to resolve this, for what it's worth it was slightly more stable this reset day from my prospective.

    • @Korn recently the game stuttered for alot of people and then for some reason we now have over 100+ping for US people.
It seems the game routes through London now, not sure what happened...

I cannot connect on my ISP: ATT US East and had to connect to a VPN, but a Chicago VPN didn't work either. So connected to a Washington DC VPN and apparently, I am going through London now?

Try clearing your DNS cache. If I remember how it works in microsoft correctly, (that's a big IF as it's been a good while now,) I think it's a function of IPconfig. Something like "IPconfig -flushdns" or something of that nature. That would be the first thing to try, then try tracert again and see if the problem is still the same if it persists.
