Update: New Datacenter Test

Hi all,

We have been talking to the VPN company ExitLag as many of you reported that using them fixed the routing issues and disconnects.

ExitLag has agreed to provide their service for free to Albion Online players until September 30th. To use it, you need to download the software from their website (version 2.7.505 or higher) and it should work for Albion even beyond the usual 3 day free trial.

Once installed, log in to ExitLag, go to Home menu, search for Albion, then connect to the game.

Can you define high ping in this context? I have been playing with +200 ping all my life in every game and I'm pretty sure some people would raging with that, for me is just another day.

One week after the problem started!

It´s not only lag high latency, people get DCed too.

Very strange.

List of events in these last days.

1 - Attacks ddos and ping variation (not getting to give disconnect), its ping went up by 5 seconds. (end of May)It was fixed in a week for more ping, all of us won a compensation for 7 days.

2- 24hrs before the reset was reported ping and dcs problems. (14/06 - Current days)They cited the virtue net as the main affected, but throughout this week more regions were detected with problem.

3 - support suggests the use of a vpn, '' we have no influence on the problem '' - elsa

4- yesterday was playable by the morning, the afternoon began the dcs. Then general prank!It is worth pointing out that some people with vpn could log in when the server came down, amazing.

5- Today, Korn created a topic to investigate thoroughly. The dcs and high ping problem continues.

Now what are the chances of all this happening in less than 30 days?

give us some feedback here please... offline and DC every 5 min is pretty much the same, we are already 2 days without being able to play...

Hi all,

thanks to everybody who submitted their data to us. We are looking into this and provide an update to you soon, once we know more.

In the mean time, as an interim solution, one user mentioned to us that they got around the issue by using a free VPN service called SoftEther. Note that we do not know this service and do not officially endorse it, however, it might be worth a try as an interim solution until a proper solution is found.

EDIT: Yes, I know the chances of a South American running a mac is low but I thought this would be useful information.

Just insert the IP address instead of "domain.com"

Answer me how are you going to tell a new player (steam) that he might need to use a vpn to play albion?

until when do you think hg, zvz and gvg players will use Vpn?

A VPN would only be an interim/band-aid solution until a proper solution is found.

the game is UNPLAYABLE for those suffering this issue for more than a week now...

It's nice to see the Dev's here trying to help, but we really need a fix asap

Why close it off after a day? There's no way you got a representative sample size of data in that amount of time given the size of this game's community.

More data = less sampling errors, you will have a better chance of finding out what the common variables are..

any update from dev's? a lot of people sent their data...whats going on and how long is it going to take to be fixed?

update: VPN is working...but not the free one mentioned here.
