Suggestion to lower the cost of capes

      I'm not sure if you understood what I meant by lowering the cost in higher tiers. My suggestion was about to reduce the amount of "hearts" needed to create the cape.
      Right now T4 needs 1 "heart", T5 also 1, T6 needs 3, T7 needs 5 and T8 needs 10 "hearts".
      Even if all tiers needed 1 heart (the same amount), all capes still need a base cape to be created and a crest of corresponding tier, therefore each tier would have its cost related to the tier. T8 costing much more than T4, etc.
      But this is not what I'm suggestioning.
      I was thinking in something like:
      T4 = 1 heart

      T5 = 1 heart
      T6 = 2 hearts (down from 3)
      T7 = 3 hearts (down from 5)
      T8 = 4 hearts (down from 10)
    • Hearts in general should be lowered. Why is it, that it takes 3k faction points to buy a heart, but also 3k faction points for the mount pups? I have 65 lymhurst boars that need to be saddled. That's 325 hearts total. That would cost 975,000 faction points just to mount them.

      Cost to buy those hearts at 65k ea (that's being very generous): 21,125,000 silver.
      Price of mounts sold at current market value: 27,625,000 silver.
      Excluded costs: Meat for feeding [35 chicken /day for three days, multiplied by 65 (3 days worth)], 1,300 cured leather.

      If you factor in the additional costs, the profits are extremely low, considering the time and effort involved. There are far superior methods to making silver than this. I just like the mounts though, and it was a means to level my rare animal breeder. Unfortunately, now I have an abundance of tame boars laying around.

      Hearts in general should be lowered, imo. Make them 1,000 faction points? This would make it easier for newer players to enjoy the benefits of the faction capes (since regular capes are essentially worthless now).

      This mechanic block minimum heart price because it can consume any amount of emitted hearts.
      If devs wish to change market hearts(faction capes) price, they could just tune those recipes.

    • Istead of lowering the price they could also make faction Warfare more worthwhile doing. simple things like:

      - increasing the fame of faction bosses to make them a good/viable way of fame farming

      - making faction groups through the party finder will get a 5% increase to faction points gained

      - flagged players can't execute downed faction flagged players inside the outposts (prevents trolling)

      - make the fame gain and faction point reward go up with more ppl in your party up to a certain point (10?), this encourages ppl to accept as many ppl as possible into their groups which creates more content for guildless ppl and more pvp fights between factions.

      Making it more worth will perhaps make faction warfare a prime activity in the game and bump it back to where the faction hearts were substantially cheaper than they are now (merlin launch).

      Right! Forgot about those. Yes, there are more ways to change the costs of the cape, you are right. And is actually a good example. Because doesn't matter the tier of the refining, they all cost 1 "heart". This is something that I'm looking for here.

      They can also improve the faction gain, of course.

      But I still think the best way would be lower the amount of hearts for capes. Or just improve the capes cooldowns with tiers. But that is my opinion.
    • I remember when cape use to cost 50-60k before f2p XD... If the lower the cape cost alot would start using it for hellgate..

      i remember one person made a suggestion about only allowing those in hellgate who has faction flag...
