Complete Annihilation..

Envy unleashed the one weapon no amount of skill or power can compete against - a weapon they are being known around the Albion globe for... Lag- and the Albion free cities were about to feel its power. Our Proud armies assembled for battle in the dying light of this beta to find ...

we had weighed .. we had been measured ... we were to be looted

First strike was the Llama betrayal/complete oversight...

The new forces of the academy were given access to what we thought was a safe territory to store our gear and refit if needed only to find the gm had made the territory public and we were annihilated while trying to grab ts info ... oh lordy

but it got worse...

the Academy got back on its feet and scrabbled whatever gear it could find and we moved into the zone for an initial powerful surge - we had identified the three strike forces of the envy strategy and we were still feeling confident.

then the screen goes dead, people freeze and i begin a series of dcs and face-plants as our armies continue to pour out too be minced by the envy empire .We die multiple times trying to resist them but they simply out maneuvered us - pined us against the city wall and caked the ground with our bodies.Even our heroes @Mon @Substanz_D @'Dworf' and the god @Skytea (with their most powerful retainers behind them) were destroyed.

Skytea begged in local "oi you f*&ks come back and save me" but his cries were silenced under the blaze of purple smoke and longbow aoes

Albion is defeated...

But in the chaos (as i was wondering the battle field) i was given a gift from a miss @Dollhouse. it was a humble t6 torch and as i equipped it i saw its little light amongst the carnage and i again felt hope

The Envy Empire may of left the armies of the most powerful guilds in the game in tatters but we shall not kneel to kiss @emiashiro 's feet!!

We will not run every time we see the devastating power of the Envy Lag Super weapon!!

for we killed @Mojo and we killed @Derrick. their crumpled husk were among the dead

Albion lays in tatters in this moment but it will not happen again.

Envy - this is not over

Has entered the next beta.

First hour rumbles - Academy entry is huge and we struggle to get the base facilities to get ourselves off the ground

Possible Problem - I am too soft hearted in taxes - set to 10% and we very nearly went dead - corrected

Major Success - Island has been set up and built to t4 - our guys are starting to really set ourselves up

Concern - Vendetta on top of us and the reports of our guys dying are starting to trickle in this is both a good thing as it teaches my guys caution but it is a really soon.

Success - alliance has been established and joint operations are in effect - domination of 2 cities is in sight

Success - Officers are making themselves heard and are being promoted

Massive success - things have exploded as veterans have entered

end result - we are really powering forward day one was different but we are kicking up in stride

what a journey I have travelled in this game

The Dust has settled.

Lord of storms did build a academy, college and the hint of a circle of masters and for a glorious moment it did shine...

But the cats were not to be herded it seems. Far too much doubt and personal agendas infected the spirit of the academy and ended its rise to power. But in my eternally positive fashion is see that it went as to be expected and that we helped many in the beginning.

As for the dark powers?

The Masked ones did not like my attempt to upset their easy domination and corrupted and abused the generosity of our islands and used our open nature against us to hurt our newer players. To top it off the immortal nature of pvpers who could not get what they wanted right now turned into trolly hostility and caused only more hurt to newer players.

We ended up only harming the ones we were meant to protect and I had to leave to start to weaken the abuse.

But a lesson was taken from this...

LET IT BE KNOWN

The lord of storms will never be the G.M of anything in this world again as he prefers to lead by example and does not wish to be misinterpreted by those who think they know better then he does.

I was tempted yet again by the possibility and was yet again the dreaming fool
