    • Server Performance: Hotfix for US time zone invasion day

      Dear community members old and new,

      Please accept our apologies for the extremely poor performance of the game during the EU timezone fights on today’s invasion day. Despite our best efforts, many of you had a terrible experience and we are absolutely determined to prevent that from happening again.

      For this reason we’re making a quick adjustment to the game in a hot-fix being deployed at around 22:30 UTC. With this hot-fix we will
      1. Temporarily, the number of players that will be allowed onto the server will be reduced until the peak invasion day action is over. After that, it will be increased back to the normal level.
      2. The zone cap for black zones will be reduced by a significant amount, to around 250 players We would also like to ask the larger player groups for a favour: please refrain from artificially trying to cap out zones with substandard characters.
      3. We are also deploying some technical changes to test how they impact fight performance. We have to use this opportunity to gain additional insight on what is causing these issues. In addition, the changes we are introducing have a chance to improve performance as well.
      Beyond this hotfix, we’re going to update you with our progress on improvements regarding large fight performance. As soon as we’ve found the technical causes, we will
      1. Release a dev update describing the technical background of the issues we are facing
      2. Provide an outline of the steps we’ll take to improve the situation on coming invasion days
      I’m truly sorry. We’re doing everything we can to improve the situation for the US time zone and we’ll begin our search for permanent improvements right away.

      So people without premium probably will have to wait significant amount of time in queue to play. And it's Sunday, people have a lot of free time. Sounds sad, but if it's the only thing you can do right now...

      @Eltharyon Can you either tell us here, OR DM the relevant people what the zone cap will be instead of having us guess?? I think most people will be on board with that, but knowing the max per zone would be helpful in not going over it. @Korn

      You had time to fix it, it been like that since the start, i personally dont believe you guys anymore, you said the same thing again and again,i dont think you have the knowledge and/or skill and/or money to fix it else you would have fixed it already

      Your game can not hold 500 players fighting on same zone without lag so why make guilds and alliances of 300/unlimited members? You cant expect them to dont team on a map.
      rebrand your game for smaller lag free pvp (100vs100 / 200vs200 max)

      Remove alliance and make guild smaller till you find a cure for 500vs500

      It get so frustrating that i might just take another 6 month break from albion again.

      How can you tell us you guys were expecting better for tonight ? The big ZvZ are lagging since you made this game. You keep thinking we are idiot or you just want to lie to new people,or both. The real surprise for everyone was to play a real reset without bugs.

      You failed the release because of servers lags, every reset are more or less laggy, tonight was just 10 times laggier because we are 10 times more players.
      And keep your server optimized for NA players while the game's activities are really bigger on EU timers (and u also based on germany) is just taking us for fools.

      For a 10$ a month game, i have only french words to describe this. Même si vous l'avez passer en F2P, nous avoir fais dépenser 100 balles à la release et 10 balles par mois joué est une putin de honte, malgré tout, le potentiel de votre jeu est fou, alors arrêtez de nous prendre pour des cons, faites un step up au niveau de vos serveurs, aidez les joueurs EU à apprécier le jeu à sa juste valeur et on vous en remerciera pendant les 10 prochaines années, sinon continuez à profiter de notre putin d'addiction et à vous foutre de notre gueule, en vérité ça marche plutôt bien pour vous.
