    • I'd also say, that if this is a conscious decision and is simply meant as a reward for properly timing your engage around the buff, and weapon switch timings - that's fine, and whilst a bit of a wonky mechanic, would at least be justified as a skill cap.
      If it's not, and it's an unintended bug, then saying "Oh I don't see how this could be an advantage" is laughable.

      You cannot change equipment in combat, which means you have to do it before engage, and once you've changed equipment your spells are on cooldown, you cannot fully utilize your character in combat without spells, and as the additional buff might seem as advantage all the drawbacks of using this gimmick doesn't seem to be worth it. If you have some more videos please post in this thread.

      Utilizing the advantage is a matter of player skill - The question is not whether players are currently thinking of ways and utilizing ways, of making use of this advantage, the question is whether this advantage should be present in the first place.
      We shouldn't have to abuse wonky mechanics in order to get a ruling on whether said wonky mechanic is intended.

      That is why it is used in some GvG's (and soon in all GvG's). Can't believe you are so naïve about it. Can it be dodged? Yes, but you need to waste important time and give up positioning for that. Can it be purged? Yes, but then you need to use an important spell for that, while the weapon itself isn't even being used anymore. Please try it yourself in game.

    • My biggest gripe about keeping this around is that it's not a mechanic that is balancable in a reasonable sense. If a build/comp can use this to push into top tier, meta sheeple will follow. When it's time for a new balance update, do you nerf the non meta normal bow ... do you nerf the weapon that gets switched to? Either way, you're hitting something likely didn't need to be nerfed outside of the swapping situation.

      This is a feature at this point lol. Was suggested to me when I started playing :) so it's nothing new. Your skills do go on cooldown, so you only have a few seconds to take advantage, but still powerful.

      Yup, you are locked for 15 sec with nothing but autoattack only and all your skills go on CD for 15 sec (you cant even pop Undead arrows on whispering bow for 15 sec)

      Its not an "advantage" - if its balanced by a "disadvantage". 2-2 = 0. Just because Im a t8 gatherer and you're not - that does not mean that Im exploiting does it? You can go and level gathering to t8 as well, with all negative consequences of that (time invested, no ability to PVP, etc...)

      Having a 15 sec CD on all skills after swapping weapons is enough of a disadvantage for this bow swapping strategy. Just focus Dip next time and get free loot.

      The only fix I can think of that would not break anything is to increase skill CD from 15 sec to 20 sec when you switch gear...

      Here is a case of it being used in a GvG: clips.twitch.tv/ObliqueSpinelessDotterelKappaRoss

      He gets 3 kills like that during the fight. You get about 10s between your skills being up and able to attack with the whispering and Enchanted Arrows running out.

      Good fix either way, never really mattered in the real world outside of 0.01% situations when this happened in GvG with a given comp, but I suppose still a good fix.
