      Why is it allowed in this game for a guild to have the hammer and sickle on their banner? Russian Guild and Hammer and Sickle are both guilty of this and I bet there are some smaller guilds that use it also.

      This is in CLEAR violation of your rules you must force these players to change their guild banners. You would think as a German company you would want to expel any of this hateful nonsense from your game as you people were both negatively affected by communist and nazi ideology.

    • We have entered the realm of a subjectivity, where no overwhelming majority exists. I don't see the hammer and sickle as anything but a historical relic, but I can 100% see someone who lived slightly west of current Russia, thinking it was as bad as some other symbols that there are an overwhelming majority of people who agree that they are not good symbols.

      In a community, especially a global one, you have to get comfortable, being uncomfortable, about topics that may not make everyone uncomfortable. Also, when you get right down to it, every countries symbol is going to make someone mad, because every country has crapped all over someone at some point. So mostly we get to choose between ALL of a thing is fine, with very specific exceptions, or NONE of a thing is fine, with no exceptions. In this case, I don't even care which it is. So I am just going to nod my head at whomever is talking to me at that moment. No symbol? Sure that's great. Yes symbol? Sure that's great.

      I'm still mad at Belgium about the Congo, but I don't write angry letters to their HOS.

    • Are you insane? Symbols have meaning. The hammer and sickle is a symbol of a communist government. Every single country that has adopted this symbol has adopted the ideology. An ideology that has systematically led to the deaths of numbers relating to the black plague and attila the hun. I am not stating any opinion whatsoever. These are all facts. There is nothing to disagree with here. There are written rules created by SBI and the history of Communism are all historical facts.

    • And prior to the Nazi regime, the swastika was found among several other separate religious groups, currency, etc. These are also facts.

      Does that mean that we have to just write off a symbol because one bad apple ruined it?

      Why do you get to chose which one it stands for?

      Furthermore, if you review the other items in the section you linked, there are more than enough other infractions to give SBI a list that has well over 150 names, guilds, ideas, conversations, etc. If they start down that path they would have quite a bit of purging to do - which will certainly have consequences.

      It appears that while SBI does a very diligent job in general global chat, so long as the Russkys aren't asking people to fake wrench labor or push pseudo science, burn books, etc. then they really aren't embracing the actual toxic part of H&S - which is why I think they're still here.

      I'M not choosing anything. SBI chose to put the rule "especially including racist, right extremist or left extremist content" into their game.

      That is the rule SBI explicitly put into their game. Symbols have meaning, that is literally the definition of a symbol.

      DICTIONARY DEFINITION - "a thing that represents or stands for something else, especially a material object representing something abstract."

      I'm not choosing what symbols mean and don't. Communist countries chose that symbol to represent their ideology, COMMUNISM. A FAR LEFT EXTREMIST IDEOLOGY.

      This is factually wrong and there already is a word filter in this game for guild names. They already ban people for certain words. Everything you've said in your post is factually wrong.

    • I'm not saying that the item itself could not be considered offensive - my opinion is that SBI has weighed the repercussions and decided to not act.

      Pretty sure "IsuckDforCrack" would qualify. There's one for the "suitable to cause serious moral harm to children"

      I'll take that as an accurate, factually correct observation. Just sayin.

      As long it's not affecting you, you're gonna think it's just a game. My family had to run from their country and lost many things and friends because of the propagation of this hammer and sickle, just like many others around the world that are also playing this game. This symbol has the same effect as a swastika for those who were affected by that, when it represents that people still cheer for all the cruelty under it.

      Capitalism didn't killed anybody, there is not a symbol of capitalism or something that everyone agree that is a "capitalism book", stop being chieldish

      Again, all the communist sympathizers in this thread are wrong. SBI put this guild symbol into the game because hammer and sickle did well in the beta. The PLAYERS made the symbol then SBI published the symbol. SBI broke their own rule (13.2) the second they patched it into the game.

      This is a leftist extremist symbol and symbolizes nothing but death and misery. Remove it.
