If it's a founder's package, it's not possible. Founder's packs were removed and replaced with starter packs.

With the new claim rewards feature in place, would it be possible to just keep creating and deleting a character until they start in your preferred area? Or would some founders items/data disappear?

Best place would be Caerleon. There's only cities on the royal continent and if your island was placed in any of the other five cities you would have to travel to Caerleon every time you want to go to the black zones.

Founder's packages can't be upgraded anymore since they've been replaced with the starter packs.

There's no way you can purchase them anymore. However, the legendary starter pack doesn't pale much in comparison to the founders pack so you aren't missing out on a lot.

As of now there are only a few options for micro transactions and they're honestly not appealing at all (except for premium). Are there any other micro transactions planned?

I agree with all the changes except for the reintroduction of fast travel in green zones. I think the speed buff to mounts is enough. Fast traveling should just be used to get together with friends and check markets very quickly, not for transporting goods.

There will be a staggered release but obviously the actual release dates are not known.

The final beta which begins August 1st is expected to last 2-3 months. Release is expected shortly after.
