I'm not a guild leader or anything but as a member of a fairly competent guild i think i can give you my 2 cents. 1. You're going to have to venture into the red/black zones eventually if you want to get the higher tier resources you need for higher tier buildings, armors and weapons. Gathering those resources will be quite a task for a 4 man guild. Other than that it doesn't really matter where you put your main "Base".
