  • Is fishing worth it?

Quote from Fusionbomb: “Quote from Lohend: “Having max fishing doesn't boost your profit much. ” I disagree with that, because T8 gathering (fishing) gear provides a considerable gathering bonus. Combine that with a pork pie and high fishing spec, and you got yourself some nice proc bonuses. ” It's even more than this. As you progress you go from 1-2 fish per catch to 2-3 then 3-4 etc. I can assure you that your income from 4 fish per catch vastly exceeds that from 1. I'm at 100 fishing and 85 s…

  • Quote from Malkalma: “Bear Paws is more likely for PvP. Axe and PvE is Greataxe. ” Thanks for the comment. I've tried Greataxe a bit, up to level 3 in it, but can't get the timing feeling right. Guess though I'll go back and try again.

  • Pretty much all I do in game battlewise is PvE and I've been totally a 'Sword and Board' user with 100 both in swords and specialist . I've tried a couple of Axes and can't quite get the feel for them. Would Bearpaws be a reasonable weapon for PvE? I would want to take it up to max if I like it, an just wonder how it compares.

Quote from Quicksilver88: “Quote from Geofors: “Loucipher is correct on this, it's 125 focus points per plot. Just realize it takes a hell of a long time to get to 100/100 even in carrots. You'll probably want to start some other crop as well, as after you get going good, you find you have more points than you need to water all of your avain\lable 45 plots. ” i'm already a level 100 farmer and have a level 50 spec in wheat ” Yes. I'm also 100 in farming and 60 in carrots. Focus cost is now 218 i…

When building on the player island you may only build on those spaces which show a smooth, grey texture (Concrete foundations ?) and farm on the dirt areas. The official Wiki says that for a fully sized (Tier 6) island there are 12 building sites and 5 farming plots. In reality, there are only 11 full size building sites and 2 more 1/4 sized sites. These small sites can be used for Smelter or butcher shops which are this small size. The farming plots can be used for simple farming, herb garden, …

  • I'm planning to buy 1 month premium for one of my Alts just to get anextra island. Was thinking about how to maximize value in this. I know that the 4 challenge chests are available 1 each week from start of the month, but do they get removed if not won in that week or do they continue? I'm thinking that if they remain available, that I can sign my guy up during the third week of the month and get him 7 chests and the 2 challanges ffor the 1 month premium. Is this the case?

  • Just got my achievement for being a paying member for 1 year. Noticed it said only 7.5% of players have this. Now, I know I'm a late comer compared to many who have been here for years, so what is the problem here? Is it just that the majority of players here are F2P and there really is only a small percentage of P2P players?. That doesn't seem right, as I only started as a paying member in July after a free trial period.

  • I turned off all chat as soon as I figured out how to do it. Totally useless trash talking idiots mostly.

Just where did all the reasonably priced Full journals go? Old adage says "The Devil finds work for idle hands"", but I sure can't find any. Most of my laborers (gatherers) are idle now because I haven't been able to find any journals they can use at a price that wouldn't be a big loss. Haven't been any available in any of the royal cities (I check all 5) for over a week. I've still got a few working on ones I stockpiled earlier, and some I filled my self, but most will be out of work by next we…

  • Kudos to the programmers

    Geofors - - Forum Banter

    Post

This is not to banter, but to praise the programmers who did the fishing game portion of Albion Online. I have done fishing game-in-game in many different games, both on and off line. and this is by far the best implementation I have seen. The 'fight-the-fish' action has been so personalized into different styles that one can guess with near certainty the type of fish you have on line before landing it. A very nice touch. I also appreciate the fact that when you flub and the fish gets away, you …

  • Based on my costs in the Martlock area, the accumulated total cost to build guild hall or separate buildings up to T8 is somewhere near 5-6 million per laborer. This is the building, trophies, andfurniture. The amount of resources needed is truly very large. The rough logs and stone are actually easy, as there are several trees on your home island and the guild island which can give up to 50 (75 with premium bonus) logs rather than the usual 2 per and they recharge fairly rapidly. Also have many …

  • If I make my Alt premium and give him silver for an island does he have to upgrade it to the higher levels, or can I after I drop him off premium? Alternative question, can he upgrade his island himself, even after he is no longer premium?

Is there a number limit on how many of these you can have active at the same time? I'm not worried or having trouble at present, but I see that they tend to mount up and wondered if I was going to have to watch it. TIA

I'm located in Martlock. I've place one naked alt in Fort Sterling and one in Lymhurst. When I want some info, I log out Main character, switch to one of these That alt searches his auction house and then goes to my island and then back to his secondary city (Bridgewatch for Lymhurst, Thetford for Fort Sterling) and checks, log him out and ther repeat with the other alt. Whole sequence takes me about 2-3 minutes depending on how much info I want. Beats hell out of doing it with my main.

  • Are you talking about where it shows 5 low tier on a higher tier one? This conversion is done at the Artifact Foundry. Don't believe you can down-craft them. You can convert 5 lower tier ones into 1 higher tier but that seems to be a one-way street. Even that's a ripoff, since you can convert at about 3 to 1 by selling low tier and buying high tier. All are salable of course, but price is low now. Even at that higher tier ones go for a good amount.

I;m getting tired if stripping down and running around in my skivies checking them out. If you want to get it the game spects you to spend some time and effort to get the results. As said, Emile bot usually works for this with som…

  • Quote from Gabumon: “Quote from Geofors: “Cost of the building is a capital expense and is amortized. Also, I do not think island buildings suffer wear anymore as this particular building is still at 100% after 9 months of use so the food is the only expense. As for food: Just to complete the analysis, I repeated the crafting and noting the food level before starting. After crafting I fed the building Carrot Soup to return it to that level Soup x 5 at 337 per = 1885 3336 - 1885 = 1451 It's still…
