I do think the power drain on Spirit Spear absolutely needs to be adjusted. One of my biggest pet peeves with spears is this. I don't really even understand the need for this massive drain on power when you achieve full stacks and use the skill again. Lunging Strike is a pretty power neutral skill that never really drains your power much and every other stacking weapon like sword or dagger their Q's aren't really that power intensive, but Spirit Spear will absolutely shred your power if you're t…

  • Quote from DildoSwaggings: “Some of y’all can’t even read properly what the fuck. Anyway, other than the reasons already stated by the people who can read... you will also start farming credits much quicker, for example, on Incubus. ” Umm. I think it is you that needs to learn to read. Where does it say that you will farm credits quicker? If you're referring to the following from Obelis: Quote from Obelis: “The artifact crafting specialist nodes are being split as well, with the same fame logic …

  • Quote from sh1ny: “I think you must be bad at math or something ? 1 node of 100m fame, will be split into 3 + 1 ( for the new avalonian weapon ). The new avalonian weapon will start at 0. The rest of the artifact weapons will need 33m fame. If you were at 100/100 on artifact weapons ( any tree ), you will end up with 3x100/100 artifact weapons and 0 on avalonian. It says it right here: d91xPyl.png There wasn't anything about armors, but if it's the same split, we can expect the same logic. ” Dud…

  • Quote from Crane: “Your wise decision to spec out of it in the first place. You got like 80% of a branch that takes 3x to fame, in fame credits. Had you waited, you would then be respecing 3 branches for 80% fame credits... FOLKS THE MATH IS THE SAME. Instead of 1 branch taking 3x as long to level, we will now have 3 branches each taking 1x time to level. What is so hard about this? ” What are you even going on about? I get that the fame is same at the end of the day, but the progression is clea…

  • Quote from Tabor: “This is actually better for new players not worse. Now they can level the specific piece they want 3x faster than before. Also if armor is split out I assume same rule would apply where current fame is split evenly between the non Ava with Ava starting at 0. ” Which vexes me because I just spec'd out artifact leather specifically for the Ava piece, so having to progress this again is not desirable. I think they need to give this some more thought if this is how it plans to wor…

  • We still do not really understand how the progression conversion is going to work for armors. For weapons, it makes sense. The current Artifact weapon specialization node is 3X the fame as the base weapons and there are currently 3 artifact weapons per weapon line, so taking the total fame achieved in that node and dividing it up among the three new nodes for the different artifacts and having the new Avalonian weapon set to 0 works. If you had a 100 specialization pre-conversion, you have 100 s…

    Wtf you dorks talking about?

  • I legit never pick up silver because I am that fucking lazy, and I have probably cost myself millions in silver since I have been playing. Would be awesome if this was just automatically picked up.

  • I've got 50+ million fame credits burning a hole in my pocket and I am looking for some news on these Avalonian weapons: 1. I've seen that these might have their own specialization node? 2. Are these considered artifacts and might we see multiple weapons per weapon type? Example, 1h and 2h sword, etc.? (I've seen images of Avalonian NPC's with what appears to be a broadsword and claymore) 3. How would a new specialization node affect overall IP balance? Would this add in another +20 IP to the +3…

  • As someone maxed in both, greataxe is still king when it comes to solo dungeon clearing, BUT 1h dagger is very effective at solo clearing group dungeons. Some of the best fame I can get is just soloing a yellow t5 group dungeons with 1h dagger. The main problem with that is the loot is so poor that it doesn't offset the auto respec cost, which means it costs me a shit ton of silver to do that. So, if I'm feeling rich and want good fame, I do groups solo with 1h dagger. If I'm not, I take the gax…

  • There was definitely a change to how reflect damage works now and it's not just a Hunter Hood thing. It's all reflects like Parry Strike and even Deflecting Spin. The reflect damage is definitely before resistances and defense. Not sure if this was an intentional change or what?

  • This game has always had poor performance for me. Whether it's the microstutters, or drastic frame rate dips outta nowhere, or weird skill lag where you hit a skill 10x and it never fires, or riding half way through a zone only to snap halfway back from where you came. I think it's only exacerbated by the fact that this is full loot PVP-oriented, so all these little annoyances that probably exist in all games just seem so much more prevalent here.

Bloodletter is for people who only give 60% effort anyway...

This is not isolated to Hunter Hood. All reflect damage is up across the board. Parry Strike and Deflecting Spin are both reflecting more damage too. I noticed this grinding some swords. Using PS was decent between the damage and the bit of reflect it did prior to this tweak, but with whatever changes to reflect will now straight drop mobs if use during their big moves.

  • Quote from Borbarad: “Black zones are more safe than red zones ( unless at portal zone, or 1 zone away from portal zone) because noobs are scared of BZ, so they flock into red zone, which in turn makes red zone overpopulated and a content for gankers. ” Not sure I agree. In my experience, the contact rate in blackzone dgs is just about the same as in red zones, from a dg grinder perspective. From a diver perspective, that might be different, but that probably has something to do with for every 1…

  • Quote from Zynthia: “people dive with 2 - 5 ppl since 2 - 5 ppl run the sssrds 2-5 people run srds because 2-5 people dive them ” Fixed. Had your order wrong. Let's be honest. The former is the result of the latter. Not the other way around. And, to be honest again, people who are running srds with more than 1 person are equally as lame.

  • Quote from Deviator: “These dungeons are so god damn easy I don't understand why people are running them with such expensive gear then crying when they get dove.... Just do them in flat 4 gear, next to no fame for gankers and 0 profit. ” Broseph, it's not about the material cost, it's about the time. Getting ganked by 5 dudes doesn't cost me shit in terms of silver, but it cost me precious time.

  • This rant is less about stopping this behavior or how to circumvent situations where this occurs, and more about how I just cannot believe the number of players that actually want to engage in this type of game play and how I am disgusted by that. Yes, the game is a sandbox, and as such, you should be able to play the way you want, which includes gang banging solos with 4-5 dudes. With that said, if you like that sort of activity, then "I" think you're a shitbag, and I also think you suck at PVP…

  • I'm not usually one to complain about being outnumbered as a solo player or dying. I die multiple times a day from divers and gankers. No big deal. I take with me what I can easily replace, but the shear number of people who are grouping in teams of 3-4 people and then going into solo dungeons is just getting ridiculous. In fact, it's poor form. Like I don't even understand this mentality. It's just pure griefing at that point. The number of complete and utter shitbags in this game is just getti…
