  • If you're going to create a bunch of fake accounts to spam for adoption of a service no one uses, you should at least make posts in other threads to make it seem more legitimate. Super low effort attempt. Notice that all of the posters on Reddit are also low karma.

  • Did some digging and what I noticed is that items like Knight Helmet, Assassin Shoes, and Giant Horse provide cceffectimmunity whereas Robe of Purity, Holy Blessing, Robe of Purity and Boots of Valor provide spellimmunity. This is a subtle difference, but most battle mounts use applyspell, which is presumably impacted by spellimmunity. The Beetle and Behemoth never utilize applyspell for the knockback effect, and are thus only impacted by cceffectimmunity. Definitely seems to be a bug with how B…

  • Unfortunately, it seems that SBI is intent on removing 5v5 content from the game and/or making it so unpalatable and unrewarding that no one does it. It's an odd stance, considering it's literally the only feature that is remotely unique or interesting in Albion. Regarding HGs specifically, I think the obvious first step is an IP floor/requirement for entering red HGs. Moving more XP to the middle boss encourages comps designed around fighting for that boss, which wouldn't be a lot of fun. Howev…

  • Quote from Retroman: “So, players from all time zones should have a good option. ” So.. once again, everyone on the West Coast US and Australia/Asia/Pacific gets the shaft. Does SBI not understand that over 40% of the US population lives west of the Mississippi? The reason this portion of the player base isn't larger is because it has been neglected since launch.

  • Agreed. After nearly two years playing this game heavily, I rarely have an interest in logging in anymore. The direction Albion is headed (away from small-scale fights), essentially requires you to play with a mega alliance if you want to participate in territory control. Small-scale fights are the most fun part of Albion, where a small group of friends can have a legitimate impact, and if you put the effort in, even carve out a swath of territory for yourselves without having to bend the knee t…

What other reason would gold spike to 4,500 in the 24hrs preceding an announcement that will have a significant negative impact on the price of gold? There's no other rational explanation. ” The gold fluctuation the last 24h is directly caused by the New Skin - Cougar. People is creating new accounts as referrals and using the silver from their main account to pay for premium on the new…

There's no other rational explanation. ” gotta be quick with that @ everyone letting ur guild know 1min after this was posted to bail out ” The manipulation started roughly 24 hours ago, so that's not what is happening here.

  • Fluctuations would suggest movement up and down. This was an unprecedented spike of nearly 10% in under 24 hours with no explainable cause.

  • Whoever has been pumping and dumping gold over the past 24 hours. What other reason would gold spike to 4,500 in the 24hrs preceding an announcement that will have a significant negative impact on the price of gold? There's no other rational explanation.

  • It's probably also not ideal for some subset of players to have access to this information up to 24 hours before everyone else, as reflected by the manipulations of the gold price over the past day.

  • Have you considered that the primary source of gold inflation recently was likely the massive devaluation of city plots? The silver that exited that market had to go somewhere, and gold is essentially the only other option. Inflation was relatively stable until those changes, when it spiked massively. If the root cause was random dungeons, wouldn't the inflation have started when they were released, as opposed to months later?

  • As a small shop owner in a non-zerg alliance, this is pretty much GG. It drastically increases the cost of defending plots and thus turnover, which is the anathema of a sustainable city. The only people who benefit from this are City owners. On a personal note, the wealth I've invested into shops, which accrued over the last two years of crafting and fighting, has been devalued significantly with this change, and one of the few remaining aspects of Albion that was still interesting has been rend…

  • Associate bug

By the way, they aren't adding every guild as an associate, they're simply putting 'Other Players' as associates. and while we're here, the 'Someone has changed the settings! Closing settings...' bug is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to add (legitimate) associates. There seems to be a shared lock here, or similar implementation flaw.

Coincidentally, I just posted a PSA about this. Will copy here: For the new players who don't understand how this works, they've set everyone as associates, so while it may look like you're paying 1%, you're actually paying 999% usage fee. a18ypyj7wzz21.png qmpisuepwzz21.png Make sure to check on the station itself izepaphxxzz21.png Brought to you by the Fort Sterling Trading Company, where you'll always find the best prices in town ps. • Quote from Retroman: “Regarding Point 5), we will make a change to Crystal Realm battles for Season 5: In Season 5, Auto Wins (aka No Shows) will not generate any season points anymore. This way we want to make it less attractive to have a majority of towers queuing from one alliance. Which creates a bigger incentive to not accumulate too many guilds in one alliance. Potentially leading to less No Shows. ” This change would make improving the matchmaking algorithm a significantly higher priority…

  • Quote from Retroman: “I am just sceptical that this approach would not lead in the dominance of similiar alliances, but with NAPs. But if you disagree, I am interested in your thoughts and why you think NAPs wouldn't become a big problem. ” The thing is, NAPs do not have the same functionality that alliances do currently. The problems with alliances currently are that -- 1. There is no disincentive for them to become massive and hold hands with each other 2. Guilds are incentivized to join a mas…

  • Quote from Wadefu: “Quote from Grimhawke-EB: “With Crystal GvGs generating a good portion of the total season points available now, a single team with multiple alts is relatively less important than having multiple teams ” Maybe if they capped alliance / gvg and fixed the system... With the super alliances you can stick 5 naked dudes on a level 1 terry and have a 75% chance not to get a fight. ” And on the other side of that, not being in a super alliance means you're fighting Level 3 towers as …

  • I don't think you've thought this through. Of all of the complaints listed elsewhere, this solves almost none of them. We need solutions which improve on the winner-takes-all-so-everyone-hold-hands mentality. The major problems are that there is no incentive not to hold hands with everyone else in the game and there is no way currently to get fights against similarly skilled opponents. As an upstart guild, you have to be able to beat the best GvG teams in the game, or else it is nearly impossibl…

  • Quote from keeperofnature: “ 4) Enable crystal matches between alliance members Obivously more possible enemies => lower chance for cross-level matchmaking Lemme know what you think about this in the comments ” I think if you weren't in an alliance with more than half of the player base, this would be less of an issue.

  • The only two people that have spoken against alliance caps in this thread are members of vassal guilds in POE, neither of which have GvG teams of their own. They haven't offered reasoning as to why alliance caps are bad, so the logical explanation is that it puts an end to their way of life (suckling and hand holding). The guild leaders of these guilds would stand to lose a lot of pixels. On the other side of the aisle is everyone who actually plays the game. Having only a few large alliances, m…
